said the one posti... morePeople like you are the reason this world is awful.
If you really want to whine that I talk about privacy, quit posting as an anonymous user first, THEN you'll have some credibility.
You don't know what privacy is about or the huge implication the lack of it would have, and one sure thing is that you wouldn't be able to say BS like that with no privacy at all.
You think a custom ROM is enough? You are highly ignorant about privacy.
So yeah, indeed, no one care what you, Mr anonymous "fDv" over the internet, think about something you don't know anything about and only spit on it because he saw others do so and his zombie sheep social brain told him to also do so for not looking different and is talking about it as if it was a plague and that there isn't anything else to choose from while it was rare and is dying out MAINLY because of people like you.

said the one posting whole ass essays on this one article. If you want privacy, install some custom rom like lineage and call it a day, not whine about pop up cameras. Better yet, put some tape over the hole or notch or wherever the camera is. FFS there's a pandemic killing millions, people losing jobs and you're freaking out about a 'privacy' issue that can be fixed within 2 seconds.
Touch some grass man.

Kangal, 21 Oct 2021Sorry, my brain somehow read "Not possible".
Tho... moreNo problems and yes, totally, there are no reasons your implementation or any variant of it shouldn't work.
The issue is Samsung themselves and how they always pick the wrong solution.

AnonD-909757, 19 Oct 2021Not impossible, detachable and wireless camera are nice and... moreActually, it IS possible.
Samsung can design to have a decent Selfie Cam built into the S-Pen. And that when you click it, it can jut out of the silo slightly to reveal the camera. However, it can have "metal pads" (like pogo pins) around the S-Pen's outside, which is now in contact, when the S-Pen is in the half-eject position. These are used to deliver power to the camera, and send signals back/forth to the phone.
This solution essentially solves the problem of low-latency with Bluetooth on the peripheral. And more importantly, it solves the energy problem required for the camera. Since, the metal pads can be connected to a Super-Capacitor, or a Charging Unit within the Phone's own Battery. So you really can have a full display, without a notch, and have the Selfie Camera hide tucked away inside the S-Pen silo.

AnonD-844232, 19 Oct 2021Ah actually someone told me that pen going to have camera Not impossible, detachable and wireless camera are nice and practical.
The pen could serve as a pop up camera replacing the punch hole selfie.
Though, sadly, if Samsung was to do that, the pen's cam would be constantly active & spying when using the pen as a pen (so, no privacy shutter) and the phone would still have a punch hole...

Kangal, 18 Oct 2021This really depends on your personal preferences:
16:9 -... moreFor me, 18:9, also called 20:10 or 2:1 is the best one :
*There are many movies with this ratio, the Univisium!
*It is the best as it allow all range of content to be displayed without too much wasted space as a 16:9 would when watching smartphone content or taller 21:9 when watching 16:9 content (which is the majority of the content in Youtube and Twitch).
*Easy to works with as it is just a 1/2 ratio.
*Closer to the cinema standard which is 1.85:1 compared to 21:9.
*A lot of phones actually have this ratio.
But we should not forget that the ideal ratio of a hand held device change with the device size, a smaller phone would be better with 16:9 while a bigger one will be more comfortable with a taller ratio.

AnonD-844232, 18 Oct 2021under display? No thank, in the list of good to bad, the Under Display is the worse one :
#1) No front camera : no camera = no issues, space saved, privacy, main camera are better anyway, normal display.
#2) Pop ups/sliders/flip ups/disappearing cameras : Privacy, normal display, almost no compromises, work well, still has room for improvement.
#3) Bezels : The normal, had no problems and shouldn't have been "fixed", user who want can still hide the camera, but it requires third-party stuffs, is generally good and allow space for other sensors like the Galaxy S8/S9.
#4) Punch holes/notches : Stupid, everyone hated it and only like them now because they are trending, having a hole/dent on a display is the stupidest thing you can think about on a smartphone next to a smartphone with no display, killed front sensors, can't hide.
#5) Underdisplay cameras : Awful, bad quality, display quality damaged, anti-privacy, can't hide, in the way of the disappearing camera which is a much better implementation that, for the end user, achieve the exact same result except that it doesn't have any of the cons that comes with it.

Kangal, 18 Oct 2021This really depends on your personal preferences:
16:9 -... morePersonally, I would like a 17:9 display.
The corners are rounded so that it is aesthetically pleasing. But the screen is flat, so it is more comfortable to use, no sun-glares, and most importantly that it can use Glass Protectors. The extra screen space allows the rounded corner to not remove any portion of the Video (eg YouTube), and it allows the Notification Shade to stay persistent, and it allows us the choice to use Navigation Bar (or gesture) without cutting into the content of the App.
Also, the 17:9 aspect ratio is much smaller/efficient and more compact than something like the popular 20:9. The device physically gets more portable.
On top of this, I would have a Slim Bezel on the top side and on the bottom side. These will hold all the cameras and sensors, so the screen doesn't get a notch/hole cut out of it. And this Slim Bezel can also hold dual mics, dual vibrators, and front-facing stereo loudspeakers. Being symmetrical it can be used in either orientation, and looks neat. And lastly, having that bit of bezel is functional, as it gives you something to grasp and prevent accidental touches.
^All of that is my preference. Anyone agree?

This really depends on your personal preferences:
16:9 --best for Video watching
17:9 --same as above, extra space for Notification Shade/Navigation Bar
18:9 --same as 16:9 but with huge wasted space
19:9 --worst option, nothing optimised
20:9 --similar to 19:9, but has slightly less screen cut-out from Movies
21:9 --best for Movie watching

That's what I'm talking about. Make new S22 Ultra at least 6.9 inches curved screen size like Note 20 Ultra screen, but with no bezels on edges and 144hz adaptive reflesh rates on 1440p.
