    Hey gsmarena,
Please start reviewing laptops and also start building a laptops specifications section. This is much needed. Everybody give feedback to gsmarena to start new laptop section as well. Laptops are not going to to go out soon. Even in 2021 most of the mobile apps are still coded/made on laptops/desktops. Even 95% websites still are made on computers. so it's clear the mobiles won't kill laptops soon unless these things are done on mobiles. So please consider including a new laptops section with specifications and reviews. Bored of other stupid laptop reviewers in other websites

What is the battery capacity in mAh fire Realme i5 laptop

im already 5 minutes reading this until I realized this a laptop review from Gsmarena! well, its about time. the conclusion should have been made as good as the phone reviews, having alternative list. This laptop is clearly made to compete with the Huawei Matebook 14S though much more expensive but it has high res, fast refresh display.

It consume 50% more power than M1. So cannot be fanless.
It's slightly below performance than M1.

So yes, its priced right, 600

The 14 inches and the 16 inches MBP is beyond this laptop.

FatShady, 24 Oct 2021almost 650$ for the i3 and +800$ for the i5 (just in india)... moreYou dont even have to get used, lenovo ideapad time to time they drop to under $700 with Ryzen 5 5000 series and decent gpu depend with choice of processor.

Boy $600 for a damn dual core? What a steal.

i7-1165G7, 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, MX450. and a 16:9 aspect ratio and it's a steal. the laptop IS amazing.

                        I prefer Matebooks

A god, 24 Oct 2021This will destroy the 14” Macbook proRecently bought the Realme Book (Slim) From Flipkart in India. Granted this laptop is an Apple MacBook impersonator, but then I just found how well the implementation is done and how close it went to a MacBook for its bargain asking price. Renowned Youtuber Dave2d's review was an eye opener for me.

Realme launched Intel Core i3 (8GB) & Core i5 (8GB) variants for ₹45K ($600, €520) & ₹57K ($760, €660) respectively in India. However during festive season this month, Realme's online retail partner Flipkart was selling the Core i5 variant for the price of Core i3 after various flat discounts, bank cashback's & instant card discounts and all!

I was able to grab a Realme Book Slim (Core i5, Real Grey) variant for ₹45.3K ($601, €520) without any exchange. For that price it is a steal deal. My jaw dropped looking at the specs for this $600 device:

                                  1) Premium all metal build just like Apple MacBook. Built quality is right there. Trust me.

                                  2) Awesome 14 inch, 2K Display supporting 100% sRGB color gamut. 400 nits peak brightness for a laptop is outstanding. One of the best displays on offer for the price. I am doing some serious work on this laptop and the reflective screen in not all that bad.

                                  3) Intel Core i5-1135G7 (11th Gen). Solid performance and very well optimized. Sips power rather than drinking it.

                                  4) Intel Iris XE Graphics. Enough for anything other than full blown gaming.

                                  5) 8GB LPDDR4x @ 4266MHz Dual channel RAM. This is very high speed RAM @ 4266MHz, equivalent to 12 GB variants of its competitors. Pity it is soldered to motherboard and non-up-gradable.

                                  6) 512GB Samsung Gen3 SSD with one of the highest read and write speeds in its category. i5 variant have 2 times write speed of i3 variant. User up-gradable slot with PCIe Gen3/Gen4 support.

                                  7) Thunderbolt 4 port, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, USB-A 3.2 Gen 2

                                  8) 3.5mm Headphone Jack (A rarity)

                                  9) WI-FI 6 & Bluetooth 5.2

                                  10) 6952mAh (54.1Wh) 4-cell Lithium Polymer battery. I would have liked an even bigger battery, but personally I have no complains against the backup it provides for the size of the laptop.

                                  11) 65 watt fast charger which is as small as a phone charger with support for most advanced PPS (Programmable Power Supply) charging tech. Support for USB Power Delivery, VOOC is also present. 40% to 80% charging in 25 mins flat.

                                  12) 3-level Backlit Keyboard, identical to MacBook

                                  13) Huge trackpad

                                  14) Two HARMAN Speakers with DTS, decently loud and the sound quality is very good for this tiny speakers.

                                  15) Clean Windows 10 Home with ZERO bloatware. Free upgrade to Windows 11 when available.

                                  16) Microsoft Office 2019 Home & Student pre-installed

Even more impressive is the Realme Book (Core i5) variant have recently received the Intel Evo certification. Which means sleep to wake time is under a second with the Fingerprint Power Button. Awesome, as I cannot think of a better laptop for the price I paid!

"you don't get a numpad or the Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down keys. The direction keys are small, too, and the function keys double up as shortcut buttons."

While I understand that a numpad is not likely in a laptop having less than 16" display, using function keys as the secondary keys is just too bad for the productivity. HP and some other vendors including Apple has been doing this (so, no wonder why realme "copied" it). I use F2, F4, F5, F7, F10, F11 and F12 keys all the time! Small direction keys are terrible as well. No home, page up/down, end keys? Meh...

This one looks different to the one reviewed at other places - the display bezel is matt plastic, whereas at other places it's all under the same sheet of glass. Wonder what the difference is.
