Notch on Windows will create many issues with the software and games. For an apple user that's usually editing movies or photos this will not be a problem but for any gamer it's just simply not going to work.

Ivo., 19 Oct 2021LCD hahahaha! Somebody, tell Apple about OLED, pls!OLED isn't good for heavy task like video editing, where static elements stays long. For a professional editor, who works several hours in same software and after six months there will permanent burn ins.
The newer mbp's have more than 2000 backlight zones, so that the contrast ratio will be more. Not only that, the OLED laptops only get 500 nits peak brightness compared to the 1600nits mbp.

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2021Notch? Laugh all you can. But soon, all windows laptop will... moreI don't think EVERY single Windows laptop will end up with a notch - macOS is more suited for the notch really, you'll probably be blocking out stuff on Windows (unless 11 gets updated to support notches).
I think Windows laptops will keep the top bezel for now, and maybe if under-display technology gets more perfected they'll probably use under-display cameras instead of a notch (or punch hole for that matter). These are just my thoughts though.
Anyway I'll head out before I lose even more brain cells.

The notch looks ugly but maybe it was the only way to get a 1080p camera on a laptop without a forehead (for then they couldn’t have bragged about having 3.5mm thick bezels). The surface laptop studio has thick bezels too to accommodate that 1080p camera. Correct me if i am wrong, but there’s no laptop out there that has both slim bezels and an 1080p camera.

Wish I had M1 chips on Windows PCs...
Android chipsets are working fine against A series chips by Apple...no stark contrast between them...but PC chips are a mile behind...Intel is out and is RIP, but AMD must work and do something...soon...

Besides, what made you think that bringing a notch (Yet there are bezels too, pfft) would bring glory to your image, that you would be swinging through the branches of Pandora? For the quality that you are expecting, you would still need an external webcam. So, stop justifying such things, because we are still pissed about the passing away of headphone jacks. And these companies are not stopping at all.

Awesome.
I'd buy 14'', M1 Pro (10 cores), 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD for $1999. But wait, there is no such configuration. For $1999 I get 8 cores (everyone says it's 10 core) and only 16GB RAM (useless today). The closest to my needs costs $3499 ! Even $2699 has 16GB RAM :(

Maybe you're just reverse projecting aka hating on Apple coz that's trendy and s**t... There are tons of really expensive laptops that have atrocious web cam quality. Or they have unreasonably thick bezels and still average web cam at best.
