Just to make you smile, YES your 8cored dream phone would not be laggy. BUT! would it really be optimal for REAL-LIFE use? There is a VERY BIG difference between Optimal than just Bragging Rights. See that its not the HARDWARE who needs to Adjust, its the OS. :)

Samsung will release 8 Cores,
ZTE as well, and Terga 4 will also be a powerhouse.
This Will Prove that WP is the true laggy OS now.
ok so 4.1 and 4.2 have been seen to lag, but see 4.3 and 5.0 to judge first, but give Google time to release this soon.
Then see the true power been released that only Android can handle making lag the lie said only from miscrosoft officers
Next HTC with Tegra4 and super sense 5 will be 100% lag free under Android 5.0 next year!
Then talk about your single core WP LOL.
8cores vs single next year. WP7.8 is born dead
against true processing.

LoL. .Dude, that 8cored phone is not Real life tested so don't keep your hopes high. .haven't you noticed why Intel and AMD don't make 8cored procies', its b'coz those would suck-up power. It takes years before you can optimize that. Thats why there are Nahalem, Sandy and Ivy. Plus the Os must also be optimized for the hardware, not the hardware to be upgraded continously for the Os. . :)

Phone will have 8 cores. 4 fast cores and another 4 low cores, total 8 cores. This is to optimize heat and temperature depending on phone usage. Also reduce the battery usage, as if you need few processor power you use low 4 cores, and if you are playing a game you use the 8 cores. This is awesome technology. PC manufacturers will be implementing this on future. Samsung is the beast.

An 8 core phone will be awesome but it is not needed and I would consider the new processor that is rumored to be in the next galaxy as a quad core since all 8 cores are not the same. I really wanted to buy a windows phone 8 to play with but after using one at the store, it feel the same as windows phone 7. I'll wait until the OS matures a little more.

On January 2013, Samsung will present Galaxy S4 with 8 (eight) COREs!. This optimize battery a lot as runs at low temperature. This phone will KILL windwosphone and iphone, as it is like a PC but in your pocket. So, dont waste money in OBSOLETE windowsphone8, wait 1 month and buy new Samsung S4 !!! wowowwwwwww

And the rest of these features, not in WP 7.8. Maybe in 7.9, who knows.

Note that nokia is powerful, popular and well known modernised phone, but LG makes much long life time than that of nokia as well as even not modernised since before.

Anonymous, 02 Dec 2012i am not talking about android at all, anywhere. i am an ip... morei agree with you! i myself was only about to choose a nokia or a sony but as nokia will not use android ( at least till that moment as now they are searching on a linux android professional so things may change and will make nokia the n1 and this step was needed since day one , as others done wp+android is the best solution for nokia )so i chose sony , very premium polycarbonate body , excellent 12 or 13mp shooters , best screen ( screen of xperia s is better than s3) , perfect friendly lag free battery friendly ui with no useless bloat ware and good updates with excellent bug fixes!

Please detail update...i love nl 800 no bigger size, speed proses because no multi tasking maybe, i hope qwerty tuoch more bigger but all really love nl 800....fist wp

I bet that phone wont last a day on a single charge, even if it has that big-LITTLE architecture. The problem is still in the Os. Thats why i believe what Intel has said about Droids having multiplecores here in gsmarena. :)
