But with the current Samsung 5nm process the x1 would have extremely bad efficiency and power consumption would be over the roof. Since we are talking about Tensor which we practically know is made using Samsung's 5nm process, we have to take it as it is delivered 2.8 GHz. Pixel cannot handle more than this. That is the maximum they could achieve at a power envelope of around 5W which is necessary per phone.
    However, 870 can go at 3.2 GHz without any issue in many devices and still be inside that power envelope, so it only makes sense to compare the chipsets as they are delivered inside the devices.
    Btw, I run Geekbench 5 (latest 5.4.1) on my 870 device for 5 consecutive times and the scores are:
    977, 3189
    968, 3127
    969, 3097
    978, 3203
    969, 3130

      X1 in sd 888 is 2.84ghz, and managed over 1000 score,

      So X1 is atleast 30% faster than A77

It is just slightly better. Despite the general belief, there is a much bigger gap between a76 and a77 than between a77 and x1. That is because of the manufacturing process. Samsung's 5nm is barely on par with last generation 7nm from TSMC used in 870.
                This is clearly shown even in Geekbench single score. If you take the latest version (5.4.1), snapdragon 870 has a single score somewhere between 960 and 1000, while 888 is somewhere between 1040 and 1100, not to mention the fact that 888 is getting hot like crazy. In geekbench 5.2.5 also 870 is between 1000 and 1050. This means that the gap is less then 10%, not to mention the multicore score where the gap is even smaller.
                However between 855+ (that uses A76) and 870 the gap is much bigger (around 25%).

Even Cortex X1 is downloclocked here no one expect it to outperform sd 888 or exynos 2100, just X1 has good IPC even if it's downclocked it will still perform better than sd 865 and 855 atleast in single core perfomance.

                          I like this approach of having multiple X1 cores instead of one, but downclocking them.

                          Not only will this improve battery efficiency, it also won't give lesser performance than last generation cores, as the cortex X1 cores have higher IPC.

                                      You get choice between stock, global and EU ROM while buying.
                                      How cool is that!!!! Love Android for the this very reason!!!
