On laptops the bigger pixels make it easier to use micro-LED but they will not go mainstream anytime soon. In 4-5 years amoled laptops with far from good whites will be cheap, and high end laptops will be using micro-LED - perfect whites and perfect blacks. For now mini-LED is the best, used on ipad pro and the new 14 and 16 MacBook Pro, the black is near perfect and the whites are perfect, most people will never be able to notice the difference between mini and micro LED, those who do will need to turn off the lights and use test images to spot the difference but ofcours mini use more battery than micro and amoled.

        Lets not forget the Nokia N9 MeeGo, it had a pentile but better whites than Samsung and the color accuracy was so much better than Samsung that the english language lacks a word for it. Unfortunately the N9 used a Ti OMAP chipset that suffered from gradual signal degradation, after a little over 1 year my N9 had so poor signal quality that it was hard to use it, but most Nokia had quality issues at the time, Thank You Elop for striking deals to use untested tech from your friends companies.

          That is definitely not true, OLED still has disadvantages compared to LCD.

                          I've used both IPS and Oled. IPS has better white. Oled has better black and much better colors. Never faced any burn in issues or eye tireness.

                            Person still can buy the cheaper 7.5W if wants, instead of paying 50 for charger.

                                Look at the display on the new iPad Pro by Apple. It is an LCD with Mini Led backlights with couple of thousand dimming zones. I do not think LCD is going anywhere any time soon.
                                For an average user, the different is not that different, specially if you are just watching a movie or pictures on it.

AM is actually used on TV sets and monitors as well. But AM has a power advantage over PM used on OLED panels hence we see it more commonly on Mobile devices. Also AM can help with higher refresh rates. I think Samsung trade marked Super Amoled after integrating the digitizer to the AMOLED panel rather than have it separately. I could be wrong.

                                      - true colours
                                      - mature technology
                                      - budget friendly
                                      - longevity
                                      - no dead pixels, burn in, vertical/horizontal lines
                                      - Flicker free (Safe for eyes and headache problems like Migraine etc.)

                                      I hope these are much valid points youcan agree on dear.
