You claimed that that the field of view of Oppo/OnePlus phones' UWA cameras are somewhere around 18mm equivalent, which I had proven wrong dozens of times already by comparing them to Mate 40 Pro+, Xperia 1 II/III etc. It's simply that you keep ignoring what I say to you for some reason.

Super Wide angle from Oppo /OnePlus are narrower than they should.
The 14mm from OP9P is narrower than 16mm from other, when it should be wider.
They are indeed cutting the photo just like huawei.
Cut a little, then upscale back to 12.5MP.

Sony should release their flagships ahead, together maybe days/ a week apart from their competition eg Samsung & not let buyers wait many months layer when newer SoCs gonna get announced & released.

Stick with your 3,5mm port and please sony do an upgrade for your front camera, it's really bad when doing zoom or whatsapp video call actually, my mom won't see her soon face pixelated xD

What makes a good photo is really subjective but at the same time it isn't.
There is a comparison floating around between lowlight shot from Pixel 6 and iPhone 13. Apple finally figured out that night time shots need to look like night time while Pixel remained on the path to lit up the whole scene as much as it can. Pixel output is not physically accurate, as a matter of fact it looks like a noob job especially with that cringe HDR tone mapping but people love it. They are amazed that they can see in the dark. Somehow they would complain if house had changed the color in the photo but they do not complain that it is artificially lit evenly with no light and shadow harsh night time contrast.
Who is wrong and who is right? Both of them I guess. Just like how I'm right when I say that S21 Ultra is stupid enough to mistake body hair for facial hair or gravel or grass so it over sharpens it and makes your dads hairy arms and legs the first thing you notice in a picture.

Who's filmmaker Philip Bloom? Who are all these "pro" photographers? I could have gotten anyone (neighbors, dogs, cats, etc) to say "it's the best smartphone camera I've ever used." lol.

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2021Ask them to cut portion of photos like chinese brands do so... moreHuawei is the only company that does the crop and even they are doing it for the sake of keeping the default 27mm equivalent field of view at 1x while keeping the body thin by using 23mm equivalent lens. I'm afraid no Chinese manufacturer significantly "cut portion of photos" just for the sake of keeping the corners sharp in 2021.
And at least they are capable of keeping the center portion of the lens sharp, unlike..🤔
