Some people even suspect this might be curved sensor.
Curved sensor allows smaller lenses (whole module gets thinner) and reduces distortion.

I've Sony Xperia 1 III and take this one only if screen is bigger. Sony last Japanese mobile company in Europe and will support for ever.

They think that a bunch of Sony trollls on this site can gang up, use lies and fake claims and convince people to buy Sony. These guys themselves have been caught trying to target 'X' number of comments in the comment section.
These are the same guys who are stuck on 150$ Xiaomi and Realme phones or stuck on really old Xperia Z phones.

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2021Better than one plus and other 1/1.7" Oneplus flagship is a lot better in terms of camera , it's miles better than anything Sony has produced.
Just because Sony makes the camera hardware doesn't mean they have mastered the software part.
The Sony alpha team gets it right on mirrorless cameras, not on smartphones.
Hardly anyone buys Sony smartphones in 2021, this is why the software team is least bothered about fixing the software part. They still have a long way to go.

General consumer just want to press a single button and expects a Hollywood grade look (complete with VFX/CGI).
That's why these smartphone companies have made a culture of releasing phones every now and then to make profit from these consumers. They made their mentality to buy something even if they don't need.
Cinema was never about the gear, it is about the story. Camera is just a tool, and they want the best in order to amaze the viewer even if it requires a whole crew to film (and not a single button).

When comes to best camera phone ever made nothing beats Mi 11 ultra and Honor Magic 3 Pro plus.
All other competition were left in dust miles and miles away fro mthose two.
As a person whole loves great quality for affordable price honestly i can say paying 2000 bucks for a Sony phone where brand like Xiaomi, Meizu or Realme can make genuinely same phone for half the making price and sell for the half the Sony price and stuill make a good profit on it.
If i really wanted best camera any Niikon or Cannon for 300-500 bucks does a lot better job than this Sony phone would or could ever dream of.
And unless they dont plan to imbue Hubble telescope camera capabilities into its phone or its newest sucessor The James Webb Space Telescope i am definitely not interested.
And even if they dont add either of those two i dont believe it will beats Mark III made by Cannon. The best camera of 2021 money can buy.
