Xperia does 20fps with 60 AF/AE , like A9ii.
A1 does 30fps with 120 AF/AE, despite 50MP vs 24 MP (A9ii) vs 12MP (1iii).
While the 44mm2 sensor of Xperia is "scanned" in 10ms, the FF sensor (over 800mm2) of A1 is "scanned" in less than 5ms.
Sensor about 20x larger turns all light into info in less than half time compared to phone.
A1 is best sensor tech sony has now.
Mobile version would be very expensive, no OEM would ever pay.
Sony Semicon does not give better price to Sony Electronics. No discount for being from the sony family.
Besides S-log 3 and eye AF for video, I do not think there are other stuff they can port to xperia now.
I do not even know with Snapdragon has support for S-log.

Copy of A1 sensor requires lots of DRAM and strongest ADC. It is almost as fast as global shutter sensor.
No mobile sensor (not even imx400 from XZP , which is faster than 557) is capable of 30fps while doing 120 AE/AF (adjust both 4x per frame) like A1.
Faster readout is great for AF and rolling shutter. But sacrifices bit of DR and performance at higher ISO.
For example A9 and A7iii both are 24MP. A7iii has higher DR and high iso skills. But A9 is perfect for sports, something way out of A7iii reach.
I have no idea if this new phone has imx506 like Sharp R6 or something else new. I know people at sony, but obviously none is gonna talk.

Sounds like an upcoming Mk2 successor of the Xperia Pro. But iirc, the Xperia Pro shares the same camera hardware as the Mk2 Xperia 1 and Xperia 5, so I wouldn't hold my breath about those claims.

Xp... moreBrazil has even higher imported foreign brand taxation than Mainland china, I heard that that Playstation 4 was selling in Brazil for US$1850, but when sony initiated brazilian made ps4 in 2015, the price was down to US$600.
Thus, the same for xperia and iphones as they are not made in Brazil

Xperia has similar prices across all markets. While Samsung and Apple charge much more in 3rd World nations much higher prices compared to USA.
It is bizarre the fact their stuff cost more in these places where less % of people can afford them.

Mirrorless is not DSLR.
People (who knows why) uses the word DSLR to refer ro Pro Camera when even a 1/2.3" sensor camera can be DSLR.
