Huawei reaches 150M HarmonyOS devices, pushes v3.0 Developer Preview

Hi, today I upgraded my Honor Note 10 to Harmony OS 2.0.0, the process was fast, no more than 15 minutes, everything went smoothly. Everything works fine with no problems.
I am happy to get rid of Google and all its apps.
I am in the USA, so I see they are starting the global update to Harmony OS of all Huawei phones.

im used to be huawei die hard fans, 1st huawei device was honor 3c. follow by mate 9, 10, 20, p30. When US sanction about to start, huawei consumer ceo richard yu announced 2 promises to all huawei mobile users.
1. huawei can upgrade all their mobile phones from android to harmony os in 3 days.
- Harmony OS rolled out in june/july 2021, now is November, and no single huawei global smartphone upgraded to Harmony os.
- hello richard yu, hows your 3 days count?
2. all existing google enabled huawei smartphones confirmed to have 2 times major firmware update.
- huawei mate 20, rolled out with android 9 with GMS. upgraded to android 10 and now using emui11.
- So where is my android 11 richard yu?
i like to read all huawei news since last time but i started to delete and remove all huawei related news notification now. keep telling how many devices upgraded to harmony os, how good and how strong you are. all news are inside china only. not relate to global users at all. lame huawei.

The only difference between the two is the HMS and GMS, and they act like Apps on Harmony OS is like a totally new app and Harmony OS will do something big with the android and ios monopoly? Wtf!

They even mentioned it that Harmony OS is the fastest ever developed OS and not the fastest growing one.

I would add though, that I believe this 150 million figure does not include Open HarmonyOS devices (none of which are from Huawei). There are millions of those out there with many more to come. There will be a big jump in Open HarmonyOS products on 11th November.

Come on Huawei, you keep on posting the update of you Harmony OS 3.0, and how many got the update, but still in China. How about the rest of the world. Harmony OS has been in the wild since 2019 and no other country have experience your "new" OS on their "old" smartphone device.
A customet must experience this OS if they purchased a "new" deviced out of the box.

All these devices are in China, because for the international versions Harmony is not distributed but EMUI 12 is distributed.
So this peace of news is completely irrelevant.
What is relevant is that Huawei continues to fall in mobile device sales.
In any European shopping center, the Huawei brand of mobile telephony has disappeared, and Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo and even Vivo increase their sales.
Huawei is dead without Google services and without access to 5G components and chipsets, it is what it is, and that IS THE REALITY.

It's a whole different thing.
Yes it has some sharing parts with android, yet it IS NOT android.
One way u might better understand is how Google's new FuchsiaOS is not android either...
It's a different way of code and processing. Hard to explain but maybe looking up Fuchsia os will help 😊

It's or harmony or stay at android 10 for the rest of your life.
+ android wasn't made to be used on phones, harmony is.
One reason why even Google is remaking android into I think fusiaOS or something.

They have chinese altenatives for pretty much eveything like twitter, whatsapp, youtube etc. They are named like qq, wechat, bilibili etc. Never heard of google offering any service there.

Huawei Nova 9 for example is available in many countries including europe and runs Harmony OS out of the box.
Many devices are likely same.
