Windows uses hyper threads instead of physical cores, for instance. So measuring single-thread-anything has zero value vs a platform that doesn't support that. This applies to almost anything across different platforms.

Google has optimized Android for their chipsets. And it really works well. The Pixel 4a with an inferior Snapdragon did everything the OS had to without a hiccup. Power isn't everything, folks. The iPhone has a 12 MP main camera but blows out the competition (even the Pixel 6 Pro, for that matter). In a similar fashion, Google does it with software. Yet ironically, the A15 heats up and throttles with heavy load. Every flagship phone at the moment is perfect, but has its set of flaws.

ARMs 2nd and 3rd Gen Valhal Mali-G78 GPU MP20, MP22 and MP24 are some monsters. All new drivers are already being cooked up by Google and ARM which of course makes Android and the bases of all SOC's. The Mali-G78 is already a beast in Vulkan based games and benches but more than most will go for the Snapdragon. Give me a Mali-G78 MP20 over an Adreno 660 any day. It's just a overclocked 5nm Adreno 650 that isn't any faster after 5mins of peak frequency, because it drops half of it after the fact. It even has the same 1,024 ALU count. This is coming from a Qualcomm user. I've had time with the Kirin 9000 chip on a custom SBC and trust me when I say, ARM's Mali-G78 and future GPU's (and drivers) especially with Google will be right up there with AMD's and Qualcomms Adreno. Who do you think gets 1st dibbs on AMD's Navi3 mGPU.

Reasonable priced phone now it's a justifiable priced phone? Still the rabbit can jump out of the hat, what if Google doesn't have a new reveal will always adware their ability to produce better sw working with their "own" hw and whatsoever will be the a b c reasons to have this instead of something else. The new seat trick they learned from Apple with m1, or you forgot who bought intel mobile division?

A76s over A78s confuses me though, and two X1s just feels like a fire hazard to me. Glad I didn't preorder, the thermals really worry me with this setup.

They want to see... moreOther manufacturers with lack of innovation and their greed for more profits per phone have dug their own grave in the the smartphone industry.
Xiaomi is on top because they have delivered what customers wanted, manufacturers like Sony did the opposite, this is why they are nowhere to be found.
And before you start bashing me... I am not even a Xiaomi user, but I know that you hate anything produced from Chinese manufacturers.

OMG the new Tensor chip just had 27% better performance than the Pixel 4 (released 2 years ago) - So Google please port all your new software to the Pixel 4 it should run just as well while it is close to 76% performance increase in multicore compared to the Pixel 5 so they are telling some truth.
