SD695 looks more like a SD740 than an SD6 series chipset

Wews, 18 Dec 2021Well, those new socs are weaker than sd 860's gpuThe Snapdragon 860 was a one time benefit I guess. I too own a Poco X3 Pro. So believe me I know.

but i'm not interested in snapdragon 860 anymore because it's an old processor

what i'm interested now is how the new snapdragon 778G+ & 695 processors perform in gaming :D

If you look at frame rates in actual games and proper gaming tests like in GFXbench, you will see the 860 in Poco X2 Pro doesn't hold up well against 7T.

The antutu ranking as of October 2021 indicated that the realme x2 pro GPU score is now higher than the GPU score of poco x3 pro but the oneplus 7t GPU score sits far away behind from these two devices

The previous antutu ranking (September 2021) indicated that the poco x3 pro GPU score is higher than the realme x2 pro GPU score

My OnePlus 7T with 855+ scored about 20% higher in the same GPU tests compared to X3 Pro. In that case, X3 Pro is just an underperforming phone like some of the Pixels in the past.

Cris Jim, 29 Oct 2021The GPU of the new 778G+ is now more powerful than the GPU ... moreNo, it can't achieve lot higher fps than 780g and it will probably be a bit lower than 855 plus/860. In real world gaming experience, all 3 would be practically identical since no games actually run at high enough frame rates on phones to make a difference.

Syn, 28 Oct 2021That's not how that math works. Let's say 768G h... moreI also hope that the 778G+ GPU packs more GFLOPS than the GFLOPS of 860 GPU

As a user of both the 662 and the 665 chipsets, the 680 appears to be a solid upgrade- from 2.0 Ghz to 2.4. Except for the X11 LTE modem, which makes little sense, The speed of the modem is still plenty, so whatever. I would recommend this chipset also for those, including myself, who care little about 5G.

The GPU of the new 778G+ is now more powerful than the GPU of 780G, this will be better in gaming that can achieve a lot higher FPS compared to 860 & 780G.

And the GPU of 695 is also now more powerful than the GPU of 750G this could also achieve higher FPS in gaming compared to 750G

Seems very iterative but the 6nm node is fantastic news for budget offerings.

Cris Jim, 27 Oct 2021No! Actually the 778G+ now has the more powerful CPU & ... moreThat's not how that math works.
Let's say 768G hits 100 fps in Game X. Going by your own math, If 778G is 40% faster than 768G it will hit 140 fps. If 780G is 50% faster than 768G it will hit 150 fps.
778G+ is 20% faster than 778G. So, it will be 158 fps. Which is about 5% faster than 780G.

Why so many! ? Why can't they make 3 processors every generation?
Low, mid and high-end.
STOP the unnecessary pollution and depletion of resources for profit!
I hope karma will get all the greedy azholes that destroy the planet for their personal gain!
