Show me two identical phones with just different chipset from Mediatek and Qualcomm and also the exact same CPU configuration.

I guess Xperia 10 IV would adopt snapdragon 695

Vikass17, 26 Oct 2021Read the refresh rate they support. And the physical limits of the refresh rate

Will somehow physical stop the production team from using these chips on a global version

And can't they just use dedicated screen drivers to compensate either way?

If 778g+ gpu is 20% improved , doesn't that make it better than 780g?
So either they are bullsh**ting , or maybe they were forced for this naming bcz 780g was exclusive for xiamoi.

But considering that phones with these chips are cheaper phones, brands see no reason to keep longer support.

The original Snapdragon 778G proved to be quite popular among the more premium breed of mid-rangers and we suspect this new chip will be even more so. As before, it is fabbed on a 6 nm process, though it has been refined to allow for higher clock speeds.

Yaaay! More overpriced, trash Snapdragons that are still inferior to the Dimensity line.
Mediatek will bury Qualcomm if they continue with this business strategy.
Ironic how Dimensity chipsets heat less, and even provide better battery life WHILE being cheaper.

Chips with 2 years support - any phone using them will stop receiving updates 2 years after model is introduced. So if you buy 6 months after phone is introduced you will only get 1.5 years of updates etc.

                                  Stay away.
