People just don’t seem to care as long as they get their device cheaply. Every sane person avoids buying China brands.

Near-stock Android experience was enough to keep me away from Sony phones before, but now with Android 12 actually looking OK I could see myself buying a Sony device. If Sony just improved their software department a bit that would make my decision easier… I don’t care if the camera is the best on the market or 5th best, the difference is unimportant for me.

Chinese brands have taken over the market long back.
Xiaomi, Realme and others had the most growth in Europe.

But price is a big let down for many. Xperia 1 should be lunched with 999$/€ and xperia 5 should be 750$/€. I don't see many customers find it an enticing deal with the 1250-1300$/€ price point.

Sony basically got the best UI that I have ever seen and it's super underrated
Monthly updates, every 2 months announcement of new futures
Best camera apps and not unnatural sharpness like Google camera and iPhones
No any bloatware
I'm so happy with my Xperia 1 mark 3
So much better than upcoming S22 ultra with same sensor as S21 ultra
