I think the unavailability of Pixels outside the United States hace always been a problem. Can go back to the Nexus days. When I lived in the Philippines from 2011-2016 hence why I'm called The Flip, I only saw Nexus 4, 5, and 6P because LG and Huawei have stores there. Also seen the Nexus 7 once since Asus have their own store.
Face it, Google products are very niche no different than people who own a Surface Duo and Duo 2. It's catered only to tech nerds on YouTube.

Like 1.2x for example.
Pointless to use super wide for it when it has so much distortion.

I might cancel my order for the Pro. Initial reports indicate 5G connectivity issues and battery drain that are probably due to the older 5G modem. The camera seems good, but with various issues, especially on UW and portrait. I might switch to an iPhone 13 Pro instead. It's a bit more compact and I like wider screen, ad the iPhone camera looks better until you get to long zoom.

Nexus had so many issues too and was never great in cameras, display, and battery life.

I always find it worth going for first party products for that reason. Its the third party products (Samsung, Huawei, One Plus) that I've always had issue with.

Yeah, the last fool isn't born yet. Paying highly for a beta flawed phone. Good job. Screen problems, hardware problems. That's things that normally is fixed during beta state. No wonder nexus models did better than pixels.

But the telephoto is better by miles. I would have preferred a better ultra wide as I use this more. Maybe a software update can help fix. I have switched off 5g to help battery life which is also a shame. But 4g is ok for most things I do. Other than that, this phone is really really nice.

AnonD-492870, 31 Oct 2021What is lacking in the video recording department?Lowlight video still isn't on par with Iphone, Video on UK ultrawide is soft and grainy even in daytime, Video stabilization needs some work, colour and exposure changes very drastically, HDR video isn't as good as Iphone.
Normally i don't care, but Google is making a loud noise, so we gotta complain

Even though it is so hyped and makes our expectations too high, in the end, the product couldn't deliver in only one area, which is video recording and closeup photos. Pixel 6 series large sensor makes it unable to focus close, and if u take lots of closeups of documents, food, or others, parts of that will be blurred and have lots of fringing. Hope the next Pixel have an Autofocus ultrawide lens, better video recording, and better battery life.
But at the end, the price justify it. It may be my phone of the year (Pixel 6,
