LoLoL, 30 Oct 2021I bet for my kidney, photo released by themselves :)When it comes to Chinese marketing, the only thing that differs the 'leak' from official promo is the grainy filter that's supposed to make it look more credible.

btw. as an Xperia 5.2 owner I have some doubts about usability of the tall aspect ratio. It's comfy to hold and I guess it's alright for movies, but a lot of games feel just awkward on it and typing is not ideal either (when you hold the phone vertically the keyboard is too small, when you hold it horizontally it's too large and you have hard time reaching for mid part of the keyboard)

Xiaomi should please make 6.2" Flagship too.. I love mi 11 but it's too big

? 11 came out 2 days ago and they already making the 12. The only difference would be 1 pixel more than the other. Thats it. Why cant these companies just shut up and wait. If i make a phone why make another one again. Just wait 2 years

If the phone is ready for release, it means that Qualcomm is also ready to announce its newest flagship Snapdragon 800-series SoC. Or Xiaomi is using a different chip, but I highly doubt it.

AnonD-762416, 30 Oct 2021The moment you realize no one in your cartel is interested ... moreI luv Xiaomi, never boring ...unlike iphones (ex iphone user)

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2021I hope you are sarcastic. Xiaomi phones are boring, just... moreNot like iphones, and rest of 95% of the phones

Reminds me of the matrix phone back then, or oppo find x, but with longer upper slider.

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2021Xiaomi flagships are never boring.I hope you are sarcastic.

Xiaomi phones are boring, just like the other 99.99% of the smartphone market.

But is that a bad thing? Nah, not really.

Look at that status bar on the upper screen. That's not from miui status bar looks like. Battery and signal indicator looks so different from miui 12.5. Correct me if I was wrong.

They are same thing as final chip, but may have lower clocks, higher power draw or certain other issues. Or it may be the exact same thing. Motherboard makers get ES processors for development past just blueprints provided by CPU manufacturers like AMD or Intel. Same applies to Qualcomm. I'm fairly sure all phone makers that have contract with Qualcomm have Snapdragon 898 ES chips in possession for testing/development.

The moment you realize no one in your cartel is interested enough to actually leak stuff and you mail promo "leaks" to the gadget blogs yourself.

                                    "Xiaomi! Yes, we're that boring."

LoLoL, 30 Oct 2021I bet for my kidney, photo released by themselves :)Who else would leak it?
Imagine someone standing in the public transportation looking at other people's devices and being like "oh wow this is unreleased device! Let me take a picture and leak it!"
Also two(?) years in a row xd

LG , 30 Oct 2021It's a prototype, prototype use S888.It's likely a developement soc sent out by qualcomm to manufacturers, like a modified 888 but with the layout/application of the next chip so that the 898 can be swapped in prior to launch.
