This one seems like a bigger update than usual.

The Flip, 02 Nov 2021Oh, no! Poor Pixel 3 owners like me! Like I ever cared ... moreAgreed, newer isn't necessarily required. It's being forced down our throats. Conserve your cash and the environment - stick with the device you have if it's working fine.

My pixel 3 XL updated to Android 12 today and also received the updates mentioned above (fixed notifications in certain scenarios, etc.) The update description sounded almost the same as the one my pixel 6 Pro received earlier this week.

We purchased two phones, both Pixel 3a, and wish we had not gotten them. Do not get a pixel phone because it is junk and their help group is useless. Neither phone works with basic functions like texts or calls, or transferring pictures to your computer. If you set something in settings, most times either the phone (or the OS?) will change the setting without telling you. Also the little drop-down menu on the home page no longer there. Calling their help telephone number connects you to someone who knows nothing about the phones and cannot solve your problem.
The only help is a writeup online where you need to know what the problem is before using the online help to find the answer. It does not come with any user instructions, only those online. Does not even list the features it has.

What about those of us with a Pixel 2? Ever since the pre-release of the Pixel 6 my wife and I both have experienced network issues and can rarely connect to mobile data is this due to the Pixel 2 being phased out?

Cheers for those who held off buying a pixel until now. The pixel 3 started at $799 with less capable hardware. The powerful $599 pixel 6 seems like a steal now.

Like I ever cared to update beyond Pie. LOL. I tried Android 10 briefly in September 2019 and despised it. Broke many of my apps and anything on 10 or higher creates this lag going back to the homescreen when using Nova. It's why I don't use the Google gestures on my foldable flip phones. Just lucky I found a YouTuber back in 2019 to help me downgrade back to 9.

Pixel 3 remains my favorite Pixel ever.
Android 9 remains my favorite Android version ever.

Most updates is for the sake of changing. It's not going to drastically improve what you already have. My iPhone SE is on iOS15 and I absolutely hate it. New doesn't always mean better.
