Most Samsung S10/20/21 & Note10/20 users, for example, don't even buy compatible/proper tempered glass screens, nor they re-register their fingerprint after installing or changing it, and many still do the "press down" rather than "tap" that is what is meant for ultrasonic FPS.

Optical scanner are oldest form of technology, capacitive is newer and more secure

I always prefer a screen protector, but most FP scanners under screen work much worse with them.

That's a poor excuse, UD ones are just cheaper nowdays (there was a article about that on few techsites not so long ago)

Anonymous, 03 Nov 2021Chinese brands will be selling new phones with SD865 in 2022. May I need to remind you that Samsung launched M62 in 2021 with 2019 Exynos 9825? Snapdragon 865 is still very capable and will be better than 2022's Snapdragon 6xx and even some 7xx chipsets.

I see no problem keeping the physical fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. While I'm okay with the under-display fingerprint scanner, it's not as effective as the physical type.

Even better would be to have a symmetrical top and bottom bezel that can house a selfie camera and a front facing top and bottom speaker.

I prefer side mounted fingerprint scanner rather than an underdisplay one. Since side mounted doesn't need effort. Where as with in display, you need to press the scanner harder.
