It is not the amount of power you put into it nor the amount of power you dump out of it and how that kills a cell. Study Lithium cell curves charging and discharging for different types of chemistries with additives. It is the nominal voltage of a cell meaning the resting voltage of a cell that optimally handles discharge and charge cycles over time. For instance a bank of NMC cells each with a nominal voltage of 3.2v resting at 14v will literally last for years and years charging and discharging so long as it rests around 13.9-14.8v. Because by this a bank that sits at 75ah is only at half capacity.

Slower charging is always better than fast charging that reduces the battery's lifespan. That's why I stopped buying Samsung phones, they charge fast, gets very hot and the battery dies in a year.

YWE, 07 Nov 2021Google has made a marketing argument with the long term sup... moreThat's why you have a choice. You can use a slower charger if you want that. But if you want a faster charging, you can't go over the phone's limit.
Either way, it can and should be optimized. Charger for the X2 Pro is on the aggressive side, even though the phone doesn't get too hot. I'd be fine if it charged fully in 40 instead of 30 minutes, it would preserve the battery life a lot better. But anything over an hour, not to say two hours, is just too damn long.

IDK why people are so much negative regarding the higher charging power (120W for example) that other phones have, pointing-out "battery-degradation" issues just to defend Google. You are given a fairly innovative tech together with your phone (not a separate and costly additional expense) and you are to decide whether to use it or not or just buy a cheaper/slower charger instead if you wanted to. How could that be not a win-win scenario compared to promise delivered conservatively, you don't even got to choose to use 30W in this case because they don't allow you to do so.

The correct one would be something like this: My EV was advertised with a 300km range at full battery charge. What they didn't advertize is that the last 150 clicks you have to move at max speed of 25kph to make it to the 300km mark."

And the after sales support is great too.
Mi is the no.1 company in my country's for this very reason.
They toppled Samsung from no.1 spot with great budget and mid range devices, now showed Samsung how to make a flagship with their own Samsung branded screen and camera sensor while paying 50% less.

Rosso, 06 Nov 2021iOS is used for only Apple phones, and much less phones too... moreThere is no better optimization, the OS is lightweight which is why the battery consumption is less.
A Heavyweight OS like Android can do more and consumes more battery in the process.

This is disappointing news! I mean come on, you can charge half the battery in only 30 minutes, yet if you fully want to charge it it needs extra 1 hour and half to do it? This is a joke!!!
