So google means, huawei FP scanner is unsafe? Huawei is one among fastest FP scanner anyway. Maybe they cheap out the tech at the cost of those 2 cortex X1 cores lol

This is why Android phones are good as toys , would never use one for work. Imagine having to unlock hundreds of times a day with this issue.

Jasper5774, 09 Nov 2021When it comes to face unlock, fingerprint unlock; OnePlus i... moreSpeeding up biometrics is easy - you simply read less data (making it automatically less secure). I can pretty much guarantee there's nothing special about OnePlus fingerprint and camera hardware. I have to say the fp reader on my 8 Pro wasn't actually all that great.
There is some merit to what Google are saying but nobody wants to hold their finger on the sensor for several seconds just to unlock their phone, even if it does increase security a bit...

When it comes to face unlock, fingerprint unlock; OnePlus is undisputed king. Their face unlock was revolutionary 4 years ago and till date samsung, apple and others can't match it's speed.
We don't give enough credit to OnePlus when it comes to Raw performance, usability and revolution in charging speed.

With this logic my 4 year old is the most secure phone of all 😅

                            All Pixels are expensive trash.
                            RIP Nexus.

Loads of issues and instabilities at high price. Why?

This is silly. Even if the fingerprint scanner works perfectly every time and can never be fooled, fingerprints aren't secure anyway. Your fingerprint is publicly available information. You leave them on everything you touch. They can easily be copied, including off of the surface of your phone, and used to unlock your phone. This has been demonstrated over and over again. People need to go over the idea that biometrics are secure. They are terrible security. So I don't know why Google would slow down their phone with special new "algorithms" to make something "more" secure that is intrinsically insecure to begin with no matter how well you implement it.

                                  what a mess

First generation for any new technology will have a lot of problems. Pixel 7 will be a beast of a phone. However, I will recommend everyone to avoid buying the Pixel 6.

                                      Next press release from Google:
Pixels randomly calling people is a feature related to enhanced people connectivity. Due to Covid the interactions between people have reduced, so Pixels will call a random person to let them know you care about them.
