But that's contestants and implementation.
That doesn't discredit the 4k screen looking nice. Doesn't mean it's completely useless.
And doesn't change that if you want to claim oh this small advantage for small crowd blah blah that the same could be said for just about any feature on a phone.
-Oh this phones gpu is slightly better than this one... then you'll have someone argue how useless that it and say is better with console and phone doesn't need it.... just like you
- oh this camera is slightly better but real camera is better and phone doesn't need this.... just like you
- oh this phone has a little more ram or better management... but it's not desktop and phone doesn't need it.... just like you...
There's always someone just like you saying one of any available features, upgrades, leasing aspects on phones is useless and not needed.
Heck people used to say that you didn't need more than 1ghz, 1gb ram, 16/32gb, or 5/8mp years ago.
Start using logic for once.

Those 4k displays from Sony are Hella dim. Can even meet hdr600 standards.
This is how 3k display on S21 Ultra and Mi 11 Ultra beats the 4k marketing of Sony in real world.

And don't come with Kyoex website because they sell outdated phones or limited edition phones at astronomical prices and you don't have the guarantee that they will work in your country because everyone knows most models will be incompatible with European or US networks.
I've followed the bootloader unlocking steps on Sony's OFFICIAL website and it worked! I managed to root my old Sony phone.
Now please, name some china brands that will provide you with the bootloader unlocking steps on their official website, not on XDA Forums.

Advancements on smartphones has nothing to do with it.
Nobody is missing out by not having 4k display on their smartphones.
Sony should instead fix the display brightness which is way too poor by flagship standards, instead of giving more resolution on paper.

The point isn't whether 4k screen on smartphones is sharper than 3k or lower, the point is that watching 4k on big screen is 10000 times better and the 4k on smartphone fails to wow the audience the same way a TV does.
