That's why they are so succesful. You find value for your specific use in their phones, not all possible shenanigans that you will never use (yes, I am looking at you, Apple lovers. But not just).

Motorola just keeps on releasing incomplete devices. These phones ain't bad I guess but they all lack something.

Definitely a shame that the G71 doesn't have an sd-card slot or a compass. It would literally have been the perfect midrange phone if it did. Stereo speakers would also have been a plus.

Just look at the success of the redmi note 10 pro. I don't understand why they keep doing this. There are a whole bunch of people out there that want to buy a stock android moto, but motorola never really delivers hardware-wise.

I desperately long for a moto phone with oled, sd-card, midrange snapdragon soc, nfc, and the biggest battery they can fit in it.

My 5 year old lenovo P2 that was made by motorola is gonna give up some day.. I hope they've gotten their game together when it does.

Cosmicus , 21 Nov 2021My friend.. Xiaomi îs number one in the world right now.. T... moreHah if they become number 1 they have to fix MIUI on Redmi and Poco (except Xiaomi series) to maintain their position

My first Motorola smartphone was a G7 Power. The G Series was fine the way it was. My Next one was the G Power 2020. I like the phone, but not the new naming scheme. Either it should have been the G8 or a designated yearly series that comes with a 1080p screen. The G Series is a popular one for enough, for lower cost. With the expansion of the series, it kind of muddles the lineup. Why the G100 and G200 when the Edge Series can fulfil those roles? Keep it simple Motorola. Avoid the identity crisis.

What I'm looking for is an updated G Power 2020 with an updated chip, in power and efficiency. The 2021 and upcoming 2022 failed and looks to fail again.

I think they need to come up with a new naming scheme. I have too many moto G phones in my store, from too many generations. They've been using G since 2013 and have even recycled some names, like gpower, gplay, and gplus

My first choice for a smartphone is the rumored Google Pixel 6a, if it is out of my price range. I would consider a Nokia or TCL phone next if they made more phones available in Canada. My last choice is a Motorola, I know they make pretty decent phones, but my hesitation is the software and security updates, as they tend to be slow and a couple of months out of date security patches. I prefer stock Android than the over bloated Samsung phones can be.

I will only accept the removal of headphone jack if the phones are using either magnetic ports in the future or 2 type-C ports.

As for MicroSD card, if a NAS system becomes cheaper, that's the only hard maybe but I shouldn't be paying monthly for accessing my own data (Cloud systems).
