I wish they ditch the center camera hole and move it to the side the middle looks very annoying.

So there is a 12x which is 6.3 inch (enough to be pocketable) and is thin and lightweight. While having slightly tones down spec from12. And 12 ofc being standard flagship. The 12 pro,12 ultra and 12 ultra improved edition (or something like that idk) will release eim q1 2022

I only really care about the main sensor as I previously had a phone with a 5x periscope and rarely used it. For me personally the size and weight would be more important than than having a better periscope and ultrawide angle camera. Anyway, an improved version of the imx700 sounds great for the main camera.

I hope that this time I have a processor that does not have overheating problems, either due to the poor optimization of the SOC and adding the steam chamber that they removed in my 11 and that it had in its predecessor my 10! also a 120hz LTPO panel, and please xiaomi don't put a ridiculous 4500mah battery for that screen (120hz) and that SOC, put a 5000 & IP68 battery please!

So L1/1A may remain in Mi12 series...
Xiaomi have much much more phone to release in 2022 compare to 2021...
Some old lineup may revive
For example,in 2021 Xiaomi revive the Mipad seriea,but only with 11in screen version
In 2022,we may see 8in/11in/13in version of Mipad

But if you want better camera,Mi12Pro and Ultra are more suitable.
Here is a problem with compact phone----It doesnt have too much room for camera hardware.
Compare to Mi11's outdated HMX sensor(HMX is great at 2019,but it is 2years old and lack some new feature),the Mi12(L3) and Mi12X(L3A) have a new 50mp 1/1.28in suze main camera sensor made by Sony.You can consider it as a improved version of IMX700,which widely used by Huawei's flagship.
Still no telephoto for Mi12 standard version
The Mi12Pro(L2) have a better telephoto comapare to Mi11Pro,update from 5 times telephoto&8MP OV08A10 sensor to 5 times&50MP JN1 sensor.
The L1 and L1A(Currently Mi12 Ultra and Mi12 Ultra special version,Xiaomi may rename one or both of them as Mix series) ,which will not released in Dec,2021(more likey March or April,2022), have even better ultra wide and telephoto.
Currently I dont have 100% correct information about L1 and L1A,unlike L2(Mi12pro) and L3/3A(Mi12 standard and Mi12X),those two phones are still working in progress and not enter mass production,they may change the design at anytime before enter mass production.
