Random P, 26 Nov 2021sure an ultrasonic scanner is nice, but optical ones are no... moreWell for me if it is a decisive factor when buying, that's why I put aside the purchase of the pixel 6 pro, I'm not going to pay a thousand dollars for a "" Pro "product but with cheap components like what Google did! In my case, I prefer the ultrasonic sensor more, since the optical one needs light to unlock and I am a person who likes to be in the dark and when you unlock that thing it gives you a wash of light in your eyes that almost leaves you without sight, while that the ultrasound does not need any light to recognize the fingerprint

Sure they may not work with wet fingers or be as secure, but they sure are slightly faster and are cheaper. Ultrasonic or optical shouldn't be a deciding factor when buying a phone. I'm just saying.

I gotta say tha 6.3 20:9 it's like a sweetspot for me, similar to Galaxy S21

Highly doubt the ultrasonic under screen fingerprint sensor part. They probably use a optical one to save cash.

Nice. Will probably buy this. It's a nice upgrade over my 9T Pro. I used phones with curved display and it didn't bother me. I was thinking about Mi11T Pro but that phone is big like a brick. xD

Personally think FHD+ is sufficient for the smaller screen and should help with better battery life. I hope they use the cost savings to make improvements in the camera whilst keeping the overall price of the Xiaomi 12 the same as the predecessor.
