iPhone is dead, long live the iPhone 3G!

09 June, 2008
That title up there might be a bit misleading since the first gen iPhone is not at all dead - firmware 2.0 is just around the corner now. But Apple have just announced the new harder, better, faster, stronger...

oh dear
all that wait and what for...added 3G and GPS
Fact is that you probably wont notice any difference most the time with the 3G and the GPS probably will have limitations such as working along side TOM TOM etc

No video call
No Bluetooth
Even larger to hold all round and thats unacceptable
No mention of improvements to the lousy speaker thus improving ringtone volume etc.
Battery life is a joke...a real joke.

For me, even tho its not perfect i accept that, the HTC touch Diamond / Touch Pro wins hands down and even the Nokia N96 is a better bet.

Goodbye 3G iphone

man we should have seen this coming, the original iphone was a marketing gimik, think about, majorly overhype a product which can barely live upto its name, release it freakn expensive and make millions in just hours....and now do the samething again excpt increase the hype!!!! apple exploited costomers...how much of an update is this? all it adds is GPS and 3G, now could't you have done this on the original iphone?? all frud and the 5mp crap was all part of this and to top ot all of the firmware upgrade, man apple sure do know how to jack peoples money........later

Damn i am the third to post a comment.Any way i think its great to have feautures like gps or 3g.But will there be maps or thrd party apps that use the gps like Desitnator, Tom Tom ot other programs??Thats what count the most for me,flexibility of the OS,like the pocket windows 6.1 Pro.They are the best till now for me.

Just add 3G and GPS to the iphone. No other upgrades!!! This is useless. A 5MP Cam would be useful... And no unlocked version. That just cripples the deal. Get a nokia or SE phone instead

Gotta see what limitations the unlocked version will have before I can give this phone a thumbs up or not.

Until then, focus remains on HTC and Eten.
