Well, I would love to own this and I can really use this for a long long time. With phones that have non removable batteries, I have faced battery boating issues. So this is great modular phone, the specs might not be flagship grade but still it is easy to repair. I handle my phones with utmost care and the only repair I ever need is a battery replacement within 2 years, but with this phone, I can do it myself. So I would definitely prefer to have a sustainable phone that is easy to repair so I can use it for really long. Wish Fairphone launch more such sustainable phones and they grow to be a global competitor to the baddies.

Can't stand self righteous preachy eco warrIors commenting like they making some kind of difference to save the planet and mankind. This fairphone company in it to make money like all the other companies. That's why they selling outdated phones at inflated prices, not to save the world. Grow up!

Now that you know the frame is metal, its about time to change the description in the specs page right?

Pumpino, 04 Dec 2021I don't get it. It has massive bezels, a massive teard... morePeople can do that, but your eco footprint will still be much bigger because those phones are not made the way a Fairphone is made. That's the whole key principle. You can buy organic food, it costs more. You can also buy non organic food, it's cheaper, it makes you feel full after eating as well but your eco footprint is bigger. How many times does it have to be explained before people get the whole point.

Hopefully they'll come back with headphone jack for the next "sustainable" phone.

Cheap mean less an less money to the people that produce: The worker. It is a vicious circle and this is just a small part of the reason. Education would be next. Oh well, we can't expect to much from those who want cheap and specs, they do not know better... one just hopes some open their mind and learn something in life. Even tough here it seems hopeless, there are other tech forums where a bit more intelligent people wander arround, from whom one can also learn something, those give me a sense of "all is not lost".
