According to my knowledge, geekbench measures CPU speed.

Since you say the a15 "isn't cooled properly", that means it will have to throttle if the heat is getting too high, thus limiting the upper cap of CPU performance.

Despite that, a15 is getting higher CPU scores than the 8 gen1.

Antutu isn't cross platform, so that doesn't count here.

What is your explanation for that?

    Can you imagine the backlash if any other company did that?? Yet very few tech reviewers call them out because they know they won't get a free sample next year if they tell the truth.

          Apple pairs a15 with the cheapest cooling on the market, actually it's no special cooling at all. Trillion dollar company cheapened out on cooling, this is why, how big the cores are doesn't matter. Processor can't stay cool, so can't perform according to those unrealistically high Geekbench numbers.

          Apple need to learn from Android manufacturers especially Chinese manufacturers on how it's done.

                But, I bet you that the die size of each core of the snapdragon is smaller than the a15. Thus, snapdragon uses more cores to make it competitive.

                That's actually a bad thing, as amdhal's law states that the more cores you have, the less performance you have per core. Even if the entire snapdragon chip DOES have 30% less die size, amdhal's law will make it less efficient than the a15.

                  Why only in geek bench after every update the scores of non iOS or Mac os devices decreases ? No benchmark should be compared cross platform. OS's are a big factor in the performance of a chip. We have to use atleast three to four cpu benchmarking tools, not just geek bench. For example cinebecnch shows huge lead (50-60%) of the ryzen 7 X series CPUs over the M1 in multi-core whereas geek bench shows a laughable 8% improvement. Geek Bench is a joke at this point.

You can't compare battery life without taking into consideration the operating system it is running on.

                          This is why on latest MacBooks, the Mac OS (light but featureless, functionally challenged OS) gives great battery life. The moment you run windows which is actually more feature packed and functional, battery life drops and becomes similar to other laptops.

                                Thats something you not hear every day. Apple has been taking a laugh in the chipset race for more than half a decade. Great times for 2022 phone buyers clming. Also, lets not forget Exynos beastly AMD gpu with ray tracing, will be intresting to watch all those gpu compete in benchmark in couple of months :)

Though im an android fan, i still think that the A15 is still much stronger than its qualcomm counterpart. Kidding aside, its been like this every year that people would be saying that the new chipset from qualcomm will destroy apple's but it still wouldnt. I cannot see apple's A15 to be outlasted in a while. Well they may get near the GPU prowess but in CPU i think android still has a long way.

                                        You should understand throttling doesnt appear in first few minutes, it appear in long session even in Golden reviewer video iphone 13 max at first it show stable 60 fps then later on it barely reach 50fps.
