I didn't throw magical numbers around. That was one of the clearly outlined advantages of switching to the batteries.
Learn facts instead of just bombarding people with nonsense.

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2021Apple proved it's not. And their Pro Max only has 4300... moredepends on budget. for me: paying 1000 pounds for a phone with good battery kinda is..

even my 125 endurance hours i find it: just about enough..

the more easily it discharges the shorter it's battery life is.

unfortunately 140+ endurance hour phones are rare breed without hw/ui experience compromises if you aim for the sub 200 category

and most phones with 4500mah barely go beyond 100-110hrs...

Shanti Dope, 12 Dec 2021When everybody's asking for longer battery life, here ... moreIf we didn't have all this electronic waste from a certain eastern country then Global warming wouldn't be nearly as bad. But I'm glad that these countries churn out garbage products at an unprecedented rate for cheap goods. Keep going with this and blame the west for the state of the planet.

You can't just throw magical numbers and buzzwords around and hope they would stick. There is no way they can make density of lithium 40% better because lithium it is what it is. It's already as dense as it can be and most certainly not with 40% room to spare. Anodes are also not measured in density but in surface area, because it's what counts the most for purpose of anodes (and cathodes). The higher the surface area, the better charge and discharge capabilities you get. You can't disprove magical BS claims other than just using common sense and technical capabilities of materials/substances.

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2021No they won't. Why people keeps spreading BS. Graphene... moreFirst of all describing how much superior graphene can be and how much longer it can last doesn't really help validate your cry about it not being magical.
Second you did nothing to disprove their point about the companies take on the better tech which is a fairly valid point.
40% better density, safer, longer lasting, faster charging are as close to magical as we are going to get

And they kinda sort of briefly mentioned the cell size also increased 20%. But no one talks about that, it's inconvenient. And claiming these charge capacities while not mentioning relative to battery volume it's just useless info.Coz they all claim how they make batteries have more mAh and quietly ignore volume increase they make. Given how phones keep on getting bigger and bigger it's easy to hide larger battery in it to have "10% more charge". Who's going to notice battery is actually 10% larger physically?

I'm just glad that tech companies don't think like you, otherwise we'd still be stuck at analog telephones from the 19th century today.

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2021*10%* groundbreaking tecknological advancement, innovation ... moreAny incremental developments is always welcome. At the very least, Xiaomi wouldn't necessarily charge you a thousand dollar for this thing, and if experiments turned out very successful for this, it will be available across a wide variety of smartphones of different price segments by as soon as it gets commercially available for everyone.

If Apple did something like this, I highly doubt that it will not increase the price by no less than $200 just for this.

For what it's worth, it's much better to work on larger batteries than rush those 200W charging speeds. Especially since they started having to make batteries SMALLER so they can afford those triple digits charging numbers (like RN11Pro vs Pro+... Making the battery last less so you can enjoy the ultradupersupermegathunderblazinglightning charge more often. RIP logic)
