Better design than the 2020 Ultra, but slapping obnoxious logos and writing all over doesn't say "expensive" but screams "bad taste and bad design.

It was stupid to make it so small to begin with, I've never said it was big enough.
Here, the Nubia Z20, the one with the biggest secondary display :

There is a good reason why the Z20 and Vivo Nex DS that came the next years had a big display rather than a tiny one.
Mi mix Alpha, a perfect example of a phone that doesn't need a front camera and whose "second/rear" display is part of the design :

There is MORE THAN ENOUGH space under that huge camera module to put a 1:1 display, as I wrote in another comment, you don't need a 20:9 display anyway for video calls.
The camera is protruding already enough so that a second display wouldn't make much of a difference, and it doesn't need to be a 120FPS ultra 4K display, a 1080x1080 (even a 720x720) would be more than enough, so it wouldn't be extra expensive.
And we have tech to incorporate wireless charging and NFC into the display nowadays.
Have the main being OLED and the second LCD and you please two user type at once.
I'd easily pay the extra for a "Xiaomi 12 Ultra Dual Display Edition" (if we could have the good things like no front camera, no curved edge display, and why not a 3.5mm Jack), many would if it isn't ridiculously expensive.

EVERY, SINGLE, MARKETS beside the smartphone one cover niches, and as I have DEMONSTRATED on other comments, there are even companies who are profitable making niche's niche's niche products, and NO ONE have an issue against that.
Imagine saying "no brand will make punk style outfit as it isn't popular anymore" or "most people don't need 128GB or RAM so no one will make 32GB RAM sticks as those needing that much can buy a server anyway", who ever say such things?
NO ONE, it happens ONLY on the smartphone market, where things that can be sold thousands of times more and get much more margin than some entire big brands can make is said that "no one will make that".
It is EXACTLY because people say that (among other things, such as continuous hate) that it doesn't happen.

I had a vivo Nex S and it was a very nice phone, the mechanics worked flawlessly. What I wanted to say is that IMO manufacturers will not produce a phone without any kind of front camera, the need for a front camera is there, for the majority of users. From my POW, they can release a phone without front camera if they see fit :))

AND, in the case of phones with a second display on the back, those wanting to still use camera + display literally still can, except they will have the ability to use the much better main camera.
