Which is the mid-range offering in ARM's latest generation of GPUs. However, the CPUs used by the chip will be a bit older.

fyll, 17 Dec 2021Useless when security have no priorityIf you want security, you should be staying away from Snapdragon chipsets. Anything else is more secure.

    oh, no.
Dimensity 8000 mostly just recycle chip design.

Dimensity 7000 probably just glorifies old chip

A78 again? I guess they want to make sure the 9000 has room to breathe, but imo it seems a bit anti-consumer. Hopefully Snapdragon 7 will use 710s.

I still not tried a Mediatek chip, but 2022 will be the year i go for it.
Cant get my belowed Kirin, so nice to see this competition now. Good for all of us no matter what we like or choose... Competition gives more innovation 👌🏻

If they cared more about developing side of the chip that would be so better like Better camera2api access and providing a special kernel for developers like Qualcomm's CAF they would be so much better

Mediatek has done Android proud. Real proud. That 8000 is a real powerhouse for premium mainstream mid ranges. I really wouldn't underestimate this beastly SoC for premium mid ranges. Way more powerful than what's needed for a mid ranger...
