They all already much cheaper than this.

They only use 10 cores on the GPU.. they didn't use max configuration to take the thrown
Maybe because of heating/stability

Apple employs industry leaders in chip designing , they use custom version of ARM instruction set.
Mtk, Samsung, Qualcomm all use regular run of the mill version of ARM cores, that are designed by ARM Texas design team, and not the better french design team, it is rumoured that X3 core of next year will be a French team product.
Apple also uses massively optimised Metal API, Android can also reach those score but............it uses a mix of old OpenGL and newly Vulkan, but no one is using Vulkan, which is disappointing.
iOS is a native OS, Android still runs on a Virtual Machine (ART), which costs some perfomance.
A15 is full and full 64bit chip, SD Gen 1 and 9000 still have 32 bit compatible A710 cores in their SOC.
A15 has a massive die size and large amount of superfast and expensive cache, Dimensity is also using fast level cache now, but Snapdragon is stubbornly stick little Level cache, which is leaving a lot of performance on the table.

Kudos to MTK for prioritizing CPU over GPU. I don't play games, so this SoC suits my needs better.

Anonymous, 17 Dec 2021How do these android chip still manage to be beaten by a tw... moreIt is bcz apple doesn't use big cores, it uses monstrous cores. Thats the reason why apple can accomodate only 2 of these cores while mtk and Snapdragon can 4.
In short, dimensity 9000 uses 5 lane wide cores vs 8 lane wide cores on apple socs.
But extra lane means extra power consumption too.
Eg, dimensity 9000 scores 1270 but consumes only 3 watt of power ( efficiency 423/w) vs A13 which scores 1350 while also consuming 4.25 w power ( efficiency 317/w).
But A13 is 2 year old chip.
So let's compare with latest chip a15.
A15 big core scores 1700 and consuming 4.1 watt of power (efficiency 414/w).
See dimensity 9000 actually is better than A15 here bcz its effiency is 423 vs 414 on A15. Reason dimensity made on 4nm vs a15 on 5nm.
