      I do hope that the sim will remain but as it seems apple is on its way creating a phone with no ports. They started with removal of aux and now sim tray, later they will replace the charging with wireless and afterwards all buttons will be replaced with touch / capacitive. A phone without ports or buttom is the future apperantly.

            I'm waiting for when the screen gets the chop (removed), and you'll have to purchase a pair of Apple iSpecs (@ $599.99 a pair), and wear iPods to be able to see, hear and interact with the contents of your phone...

You can't remove the sim, you can't remove the battery (you never could in iphones), sealed batteries + esim is NSA's dream. 99% of the people have nothing to hide , so it will used (on them) to spy and bully them. One more occation where the 1% (those who must *actually* be kept tabs on, dictate how the 99% would live).

                Removable sim and removable battery should be a human right, here's hoping that the EU would protect themselves by the NSA and FSB infiltration by banning such phones. The rest (I am afraid) would be spied until the end of time.

                  I can already see some issues if it really happens.... ^^;

                    So people can't swap sims on the go. Very inconvenient if going on holiday.
