Cain, 07 Jan 2022Nah mate, it's useful just like Sakura in NarutoLol true

Seriously Rog Phone 6 now..? I mean Rog 3 and 5 is still trending so this is a sudden, sure Rog 6 will be launch with Android 12 and equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which is the most powerful Snapdragon processors chipset. But in the end it's all about specifications. I personally think those who have Rog 3 and 5 is still powerful and is not worth to upgrade to Rog 6. Well, let's just hope Rog 6 can amaze us.

Let's hope that Asus will fix the ramdump issue in their upcoming Zenfone lineup.

Tbh, Zenfone 8 was a killer phone. The pricing was spot on, flagship spec, clean ui, superb set of stereo speakers, built-in DAC, headphone jack, micro SD support & etc. The only problem was in long term usage. Battery backup was below average, decent camera, just 2 year of android & security update & that hideous ramdump issue for many users.

Let's see what Asus has to offer this year.

Anonymous, 06 Jan 2022No headphone jack = no buy No micro SD = no buy 1080p and... moreThey haven't revealed anything yet. They haven't revealed if they got rid of anything or if the display is 1080p. The Zenfone 8 had a headphone jack and they're likely gonna keep it. We only know the design of the back of the phones. Shut up.

Anonymous, 06 Jan 2022ROG5 was first of the series to use Samsung oled. All pre... moreFirst of all, I was talking about Rog 5 here.
Secondly, I don't care who manufacture the screen as long as it's good screen. Even Samsung AMOLEDs had issue of black crush in the past. And as far as I know, Samsung did not manufacture a holeless 6.78 inch capable of 144hz, so Asus ordered custom panels for Rog 5 this time from Samsung, same as Zenfone 8 which is a 5.9 inch custom size panel.

I sound like a broken record but here it is again: I like the Zenfone 8 specs and I bet the Zenfone 9 will be even better but I want ASUS to tell us what is causing the famous ramdump and how they fixed the problem.
I am not going to buy a phone that needs a motherboard replacement after 6 months.

qasar80, 06 Jan 2022about the very much overpriced Rog Phone...I tested the 5s ... moreHaving used the ROG 2, I agree the pure processing power is the same. To argue against this fact is dumb. But what ROG offers is the gaming experience, plus the gaming friendly feature. Once the settings are done right, I could game without bloody notifications appearing and suddenly covering my screen or a goddamn bad timing phone call that disrupt my game.

Sustain performance is also another point to look at. I game on my ROG 2 without me feeling it started to throttle even after an hour of COD Mobile and Genshin Impact (which total melts my iPhone 12).

Air triggers takes getting used to but is really useful once you are used to it. I am no pro COD Mobile player and I can't play using the "crab" stance. With the air triggers, I could easily switch from running and shooting to proning and shooting.

So, in general, your comments are absolutely correct, and that is why gaming phones are for a very niche market. The market is so small, that the country I am in (Singapore), only has the ROG being officially launch here (and charging a price much higher than what China and USA retails for. Heck, by crossing the causeway to Malaysia, I instantly save USD$200 on the retail price).

The ultimate deal breaker for me to stop using ROG was simply because of the price differences in different market. I paid SGD$1598 for ROG 2 (Official ASUS set, Singapore), but ASUS officially retails it in Malaysia for less than SGD$1200.

ASUS is still continuing this trend with the ROG 3 and ROG 5. With this, they had permanently destroyed their own local market.

Let's hope that the next ROG phone doesn't snap in half like a twig and that the next ZenFone doesn't overheat and have RAM dump issues.

Because both are solid device and this kills it for me.

TuPapi, 06 Jan 2022Physical triggers > nothing > air triggers. A fact.such a clueless comment. there's no debate that physical triggers/controllers are superior but to say that even "nothing" is better than having air triggers is just pure bs. clearly you haven't tried one or you're just trolling. Yes, I have tried them on the ROG Phone 2 and they are extremely important in gaming

drop your logical reasoning behind your "facts" otherwise, stay away from here, troll
