Apple waited until Samsung had perfected the display tech before ordering the best iteration Samsung had for their iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. But to Apple's credit, they are just a little late and are certainly not the only ones. OnePlus, Oppo, Huawei, the lot, all use these panels with various levels of optimization.
Btw, people all blame MIUI for Xiaomi's battery woes, but Xiaomi's displays are a big reason too: their panels are dynamic, (60/90/120hz) not adaptive like the LTPO panels (1-120hz continuous)

An 8MP macro camera would be a game changer, my Poco F3 5MP with autofocus ain't bad already.
