Anonymous, 11 Jan 2022OnePlus 10 Pro is 650€ ? That's actually pretty damn g... moreIn China it cost 65å, in Europe it will still cost 1000€

Seems like a good phone, for the specs, the price is nice too. But that's the price in China and we know how that translates to the West markets. $737 will translate to $849 or so in the US probably and €849 in Europe which is not that good. Forget €650 in Europe lol
    But let's wait and see.
About the specs, seems good but more like a small update "T" version than a completely new model. Of course the design changed a bit and that's what mainly differentiates it from OP9 Pro.
I don't see any IP rating...and that's bad. Because the OP9 Pro has it. If that's true, it's a big minus for a flagship and means they cut the corners to keep the price down.

The big question here will be the software and how the cameras perform. We know that for now OxygenOS is still the skin in Europe and US but that will change. And that remains to be seen what the result will be. The first impression with the update last month was not good at all. About the cameras let's see what Hasselblad did this time....

*Edit* want to add that the charger is in the box. At least in China. A big plus for Oneplus (haha) for keep doing that when all the major brands are removing it and making us spend more money buying a separate charger.

Shanti Dope, 11 Jan 2022Unless they changed something in the camera hardware, then ... moreSure they can, but they won't.
Cheap trick to use consumers buy the one.
I would say 8 Pro was most color accurate:) 9 Pro was overagressive with colors/sharpening.

Pity the camera island is black and not the same color as the rest of the back.

Rkm, 11 Jan 2022Same dude, I have said it somewhere else in this site. JN1 ... morethats sad, but this year it will be spammed of JN1 sensors all around. They're cheap and capable of spitting good numbers of features but not the quality, from 0.64 micron size pixels.
Regular consumer would opt for 50MP cam, they dont care thats beside it. And thats sad. Big downgrade for Oneplus. There is some quick reviews on YT which compares 9 Pro's UW to 10 Pro's - big reduction in quality on low light, loss of detail..

Rkm, 11 Jan 2022Lol, your beef with that guy is going for quite some time. Well yeah, this is like 5th or 6th time that he spread his lies while name-calling me at the same time to actively discredit what I say. It's getting seriously annoying.

JN1 has actually taken back mobile photography . Even midrange phones use them as primary sensor. It was supposed to bring flagship features like instantaneous hdr, 8k, super fast focusing to secondary sensors but manufacturers are using it as a gimmick for the 50mp checklist.

Exciting display technology but the UWA camera took a regression (1/2.8" sensor on the flagship, when the one from last year had 1/1.5"? Seriously OnePlus?). I'm hoping something good will come out of the new RAW mode and colour processing, but everything else about this phone is pretty uninspiring. Hopefully Oppo or Vivo will release more interesting high-end phones this year than this rather generic stuff, but we'll see.

Meanwhile another Nord phone has exploded in India and that is a confirmed incident and OnePlus has accepted to send the user an another phone. Why are so Nord phones exploding so frequently. Are they using cheaper batteries

                                Give me 512gb!

Nowadays, all the Chinese brands have very similar pricing for flagships in the Chinese market. This is exactly the same price as the Xiaomi 12 pro and the IQOO9pro (for 256gb). Similar hardware for similar prices

Also DPReview's article from March 23rd, regarding OnePlus 9 Pro:
"The ultra-wide camera uses what OnePlus calls a 'Freeform' lens. The lens uses precise curves to reduce distortion, allowing OnePlus to refer to the ultra-wide lens is rectilinear"

I guess DPReview recognised that free form lens was the thing when it was introduced last year, didn't they? It's honestly infuriating that you keep making a (failed) attempt to criticize me like that while completely shutting your eyes to your own lack of comprehension skill. You really disgust me.
