So why not a phone with a hardswitch to turn off the camera's/mic/data/etc.? So you still have a phone and you can put some kind of cover in front of it so you're sure it isn't recording.

Would be great for media playback; the notch kills it right away, though. Maybe they got the displays cheaper with cut-out.

That notch could easily be the reason half of the customers would abandon the choice. Otherwise it it's a potential media device for children and elderly.

So they really mass produce these displays with a prefabricated water drop notch and companies just use these off-the-shelf and put their front camera in them.

I mean, I see the porpuse of this phone, I really do. But, like who's gonna want a phone without basic phone features? Maybe 1 out of 100 people, they are not going to do well in sales. Atleast that's my opinion on this phone
