You don't care about specifications or usefulness as long as the phone carries an ugly half eaten fruit logo on the back and rakes up numbers for obsessive f a n b o y s like yourself to rejoice their slowed down phones over. I'd rather keep my fully functional Android 11, or even 9 or 10 any day thanks.

Why would the iPhone 14 start at 64GB if the iPhone 13 started at 128GB?

They should just kill the iPhone 14, and do a rename.
Instead have only three phones: iPhone 14 Mini, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max.
And the differentiating feature between the three should be Battery and Display, nothing else.
For those on a budget, they should be able to either buy an "affordable" version, or perhaps an older model. Such as: iPhone 8e, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Max.

"Supply chain check"? How much longer is this BS gonna continue? 8GB would have been ideal. Let's just hope 2023 is going to turn a new leaf & be the golden year for consumer tech

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2022I had one child yesterday trying to convince me here on GSM... moreIf you're making the argument that 720p lcd is better than 1080p amoled because the lcd is on an iPhone, then you're the one who's making sh*t up. Apple has even acknowledged that's not the case by upgrading all their iPhones to amoled displays. The 720p lcd was a mere cost saving exercise so their can make bigger profits on selling the iPhone XR. The way you try to justify that is hilarious.

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2022"heavily overpriced phones" You're one of th... moreAnd despite the updates, iPhones are still getting hacked, lol. And the updates are really only good for maybe the first year of the life of the phone. The updates after that are so buggy most iPhone owners upgrade their phones rather than deal with the buggy updates. The Apple 5 year policy of phone updates is merely a gimmick. My experience with iPhones as a former iPhone user is that the phone becomes unusable round about the 3 year mark due to the bugs, slowdowns and poor battery life introduced by poor iPhone updates. And this is beginning to show on my wife's iPhone 11 Pro. She's refusing to update her phone because the updates are making the UI glitchy and the phone hangs on occasion. Not to mention the battery won't last a day now. She's still on iOS 14.4.

Shanti Dope, 15 Jan 2022Not keeping up in what? Resolution? Yep. What else? That... moreI had one child yesterday trying to convince me here on GSMArena that Galaxy S1 has a better display than iPhone XR just because it's an OLED and iPhone has LCD. I loled so hard I peed myself. I had S-AMOLED displays 12 years ago, I had 1080p LCD's just few years ago and I currently have "only 720p LCD" (which is really 840p but whatever) on iPhone XR and the display is superb to a point I just don't even care it's still an LCD. It's so funny reading all the salty comments from haters who just make s**t up and lie at this point.

qasar80, 15 Jan 2022if people continue to buy these heavily overpriced phones, ... more"heavily overpriced phones" You're one of those people who only look at specs on paper and nothing but specs on paper, right? You don't care if phone literally comes with ZERO software support, you don't care if you'll be stuck on Android 11 forever, you don't care if security updates are delivered with months delays if ever. You don't care if whole phone is made of cheese and crackers for as long as it has billion megapixels, 8 cameras, Snapdragon 88888888888+ Gen 15 and 32GB of RAM and it costs the least money for the hardware specs it offers. Oh and obligatory UFS 3.1 which literally tells nothing but the speed of interface between chipset and NAND, not the actual guaranteed speed of storage itself.

if people continue to buy these heavily overpriced phones, I can not see any reason for Apple to change policy. In fact, they are very smart in marketing, they know how to sell an image. And that is why, when upgrading to 6 GB of RAM and 120 Hz screen, it's shown as a huge progress and guess what? Many people really believe it, I can see it around me even for those which are not Apple fans. That, doubled with this kind of negative publicity towards the emerging Chinese phones that will tell you that OS is shit, bad interface and that's it, you will go buy one 1300 Euros Iphone (or Samsung S series or Sony) instead of a 600 Euros other phone with no so much marketing behind but with top specs also, at least well over Iphone.

Chad Samsung does not worry about supply chain issues and not only releases new model and SKUs for S21 FE but continuously releases phones with excessive amounts of RAM

It sucks that they're getting rid of the mini, I know it didn't sell well but it definitely seemed like it would have had a market, like for people who dont like how big phones have gotten recently
