Brands get samplesmof chips months before chips are announced.
If D9000 was any better than SD8G1, hey would use on Pro version.
They know which chip is better.

No thin smartphone run dimensity 9000, its hard to verify Mediatek claim that Dimensity 9000 run cooler than sd 8 gen 1.
My experience if mediatek use that Huge thick tablet means they have trouble with X2 too.

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2022The thing is people like established brands more.People alw... moreThe thing is Ryzen did beat intel in DIY market and has about 70% marketshare compare to 30%, Intel is better to pre built (oem) and laptop because they do provide more incentives there compare to Amd.
And people Buy snapdragon because its actual better than competition, it has better modem, Beter isp for camera, better compability with mods, custom rom, Better graphics drivers especially in open GL games etc.

The thing is people like established brands more.People always go for sd even if it's bad.For example ryzen already killed Intel in the mid high and mid low segment but people still buy i31100F even if the intel can't fully utilise the 1650 as good as the 1300x(not talking about after the price hike)

I'm also interested in Dimensity 9000 if what they claim is really true. Then again they claimed many things about Dimensity 1000 which ended up being pretty good, but nothing groundbreaking. Kinda like first generation of AMD Ryzen. Very good, but not market shattering.

I would love to see Mediatek partnering with Nvidia for the GPU. I remember them partnering for a demo of Wolfenstein: Youngblood where Kompanio 1200 was paired with RTX 3060. If they could bring something similar to mobile, it would be amazing.
Finally there's good competition between Snapdragon, Dimensity and Exynos.

Qualcomm has its new Adreno 730 GPU, it's good at peak performance, but it's unstable, GPU without sustained performance doesn't guarantee fps without drop on platforms and games.

mediatek.. once everyone made fun of.. is the king of android now. I mean it makes sense.. TSMC giving priority to it's homegrown Mediatek. And here ends the chain of American supremacy over micro chips.
