GreatEconomyXi, 24 Jan 2022What MediaTek should improve is their ISPs to the level of ... moreWell mediatek understands the importance of BIG system cache
I am confident the GPU WILL beat the adreno , adreno can only beat the Mali in peak performance the thing throttles to 888 levels because of the heat
Whenever i see comments on mediatek needing to improve on ISP
I wonder if people actually try reading the spec sheet on the ISP of the 9000 and compare it to it's competition
Or as usual they are hanging on to old biases

Since Qualcomm's gpu department was bought from AMD way back.
Adreno is in fact Radeon as you all know.

Everyone who knew Dimensity 9000's technical specs already kind of expected this, I don't know about the GPU's but SD 8 Gen 1 already has heat and power usage problems and is very barely better than the previous gen SD 888. Let's see how the Dimensity 9000 does in the GPU department before we decide the winner here though.

well done MediaTek... can't wait to see Exynos 2200 gpu compete with Adreno 730 and Arm Mali G710 MC10 from Dimensity 9000.

I bet it runs cooler than the SD 8 Gen 1 and 888. I imagine it will be cheaper, too. Qualcomm's days of providing the best (overpriced) offering are behind it.

It's another AMD vs Intel moment...
Dimensity is the new champion here. Can't believe it actually... However. I still believe that the GPU in the 8 Gen 1 will be hard to beat. As it's far better than the A15.
So it's a bit of a mixed bag. Meaning the multicore score CPU wise is better on the 9000. But the GPU I don't think will be as good as the 8 Gen 1. The 8 Gen 1 is crowned with the world's best GPU for smartphones. Even leaving the A15 behind in its dust.
Got a feeling though that snapdragon are going to surprise us... With an even more powerful SoC... Gen 2 or Gen 1+... So stay tuned.
Personally for gaming... I would prefer the world's best GPU from snapdragon. I mean that is an A15 killer.

I'm a very happy customer of a Dimensity 1200 phone (upgraded from a SD820 phone), and wish well to MTK after so many years of lagging behind.
Ever since the Dimensity line-up came, I've been thinking of them as the mobile's AMD while QC is Intel.

Dimensity 9000 is a beast. TMSC engineers are just hard to beat. they mean business. happy to see MediaTek being given its respect after all these years of trailing behind.
