When punch holes became widespread in 2019 you probably didn't call them pathetic, but now that UDCs exist but aren't ready to become widespread... right now you decide to call them pathetic?
Yeah, the Moto Edge X30 did have a UDC, but you have to understand that they're not ready to risk putting UDCs on every flagship they have until at least next year. Maybe then you might get it.
...unless for some reason you really like notches and waterdrops and I didn't know.

Looks poor to me. Motorola's image processing is bad so what use are 200mp and 60mp cameras. In the render, the screens look excessively curved too.

I have the original Edge.
Itºs very nice to have curve screens but horrible when it comes to protect them.
It´s impossible to find screen protectors, touch won´t work smooth.
I find the Edge X30 more interesting, even if it doesn´t feature a great camera.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2022Why double digit telephoto is only 2x where other companies... moreThere isn't automatically any correlation between sensor size and MP count, just to be clear on that, but it isn't unthinklable that the 3x @ 8MP have smaller sensors than the 2x @ 12MP
Smaller sensor = more "zoom"/tele capability per overall size of the optics and required depth. This is why "telescopes" are used for very long tele capability in smartphones due to space constraints.
Also the reason why even prime lenses at 120mm focal length are huge for full frames, wheres a tiny compact camera with a tiny 1/2.3" sensor can zoom in the range of 24 - 720 mm and still fit in your pocket.
In the case of this device, the 2x zoom seems a bit redundant, considering the expected capabilities of the main sensor, also when cropped. We will just have to wait and see, I guess :-)

What's the point of a dedicated 2x telephoto since it already has a 200 mp sensor, which can easily take 2x,3x zoom 12mp photos with little to no loss in details?
Rather go with only 2 cams if you can't afford the periscope lens

Why you need 2x optical zoom when the main sensor is capable of 2x hybrid zoom?
Just replace the 2x optical with long range zoom...uhh.. just why lenovo!?
