The idiots at Motorola are abs... moreIf you follow the technology, then you will know that this gives full HD level zoom digitally at 16x, or 256x at pretend zoom levels. That's one of the big advantages of high resolution sensors the other is using them to average down noise and increase pixel quality. How come you thing they have some 48mp sensors without 8k modes.

      And the 16k video mode, even if it is 12.5fps (but 25fps extra wide is preferable, and 4:2:2/Bayer raw 8kp50 is great for action). . For set VR content needs around 3:1 ratios. That is around 16k by 5k in 25fps, that is near 8kp60 pixel compression rates, which is what we should have now.

          Why double digit telephoto is only 2x where other companies give 3x on 8mp

            Not gonna lie it looks like a beast! Can't wait to see how it performs with this huge camera!

                    If this was the 2012-14 Motorola, I would expect a real high end phone.
                    But this is Lenovorola, I expect some cuts that should not be done.

                        Expect an insanely high price people, it will probably be followed by good hardware plagued by terrible software. Hopefully they will put a headphone jack
