It still has the 6.8 inch display and 5000mah battery.
And even with the dual screen attachment was still cheaper than even the smaller plus. And around the same price as the smallest regular version. Despite your attempts that all matters a lot.
And let's not forget the quad dac.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2022rather get a xperia than a pixel.True. Except the latest batch of xperias are behind in 2-8 years in most aspects while choosing dramatically more than others. Especially pixel.
Even the 1 iii has screen brightness of 7 year old flagship and costs like 500-700 more than pixel.

I dont know why i am having a gut feeling that this time samsung is keeping real design under tight wraps and the leaks are kinda wrong or deceptive/smokescreen intended leaks by samsung. I feel samsung would be or very well must be working on getting rid of camera jungle at back and return single camera multi function module like Xperia 1 Pro has recently done... it will save samsung a lot of redundant hardware too like they stopped free packaging chargers. If not S22 despite their hardest efforts .. i bet they will do it with a S22 Pro maybe or finally putting it off at last minute to polish it further till S23. We r forgetting samsung already has such experience with "Samsung Galaxy Digital Cameras". Soon the new hip will be single lens all purpose cameras.

Qualcom has lots of patents on 4G and 5G interconnects with CPU... Exynos used to have separate 4G modem talking to CPU .. Qualcomm had it built in cpu for 4G ... i am not intouch for 5G implementations for both .. by both

You're much better off buying S20 5G with 12gb Ram than 8Gb Ram in 2022, is absolutely ripoff and especially Android with 8gb Ram is very low.

The cause could came from patent trolls (Microsoft,Ericsson etc) that forced samsung to paid extra to each phone they sales .

Samsung with Exinos is bad buy. Just compare (maybe it will not be so bad...) Exinos with SD888. Where is SD8gen1, or even A15???????
It is extreamly bad design. And Europe should buy it for more money as SD8gen1?

- Lost the QHD screen from V50.
- Lost the 3rd camera (52mm) used by V50 and one of the G8 variants.
- UFS2.1 while other had 3.0.
- Gorilla 5 on screen, while other with GG6.
- smaller 1/3.4" super wide, like iphones.
That is why it was cheaper than S20 a lot.

People buy iphones not because it's better, but rather due to the fact that it's cheaper than S Series. Let alone Z Series.
Both Z and S Series have more Premium looks and features, compared to cheaper phone like iphones.

If they could've shaken things up then they would have done it instead of bailing. But the actuality is that their smartphone business wasn't as successful as they wanted it to be and when the Chinese OEMs came in they couldn't sustain it due to the competition beating them.
Heck even Sony is only doing decently. I hope we get more competent players in the Android smartphone world to compete with the likes of Samsung.

At least Sony is still around and making healthy profits, so I know which brand I'll be staying from now on.
