If this works out well then it can give quite a competition to iOS and Android, but will take time to be as good. And like always, apps are everything

well India has everything to achieve it, but who are the target users? the only space where as of now this thing can be a success is in IoT. I'm India it's still in very nascent stage. I bet TCS, Infosys, HCL etc can get well so it.
But where is the ecosystem of appliances this thing will run on? Any domestic home appliance giant you can think of? its dominated by Samsung as of now in India and why would they use this OS.
Hardware gotta be indeginous for the software's indeginization to succeed. And we still don't manufacture chips. Where are the indigenous processors to bring the hardware n software together?
Will easily take 10+years and no guarantee of wide success as such. But a very good idea on paper from sovereignty perspective.

Wouldn't trust China or India with my personal data due to scams they have in those developing countries, only a US or an European OS can be accepted. Imagine CCP or Indian govt having to spy on us.

I would welcome a 3rd option, tough I got the feeling this will be some locked down OS for people in govt only to make sure no enemy entity can spy.

And they should name it PegasusOS, which would go perfectly with their intentions. Perfectly content with Windows and Android, thank you very much.

Not going to pull through unless a revolutionary UI is created. And then it's about money. Have to see wether competition is still viable in our day and age. Plenty of manufacturers out there using Android but all offering more or less the same thing.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2022I hope somebody is going to develop OS that can kill or at ... moreGood thing about windows you can run it alongside anything you want, Lot of governments and institutions use linux distro in Mac and devices which meant to be used for windows. One person can run Hackintosh, Windows, Android and dozens of linux distro and other os. So no one force you.
