Microsoft: Windows 11 well-loved, adopted twice as quickly as Windows 10

I like windows 11 more than I did the ones before it. And yes, I liked windows 8.1 way more than I did the windows 7 some of you won't let us rest for.
The thing is that majority of people hate change just for the sake of it. Most are so afraid of change that they'd rather nothing changes in anything they're already familiar with. You hear them say "… unless it's broken" as if most of the advancements they're enjoying today are as a result of broken ones. If we wait till things are broken, we'd not be where we are today.

unxpctd, 27 Jan 2022I don't believe any of the windows 11 praise. It is a ... moreYou forgot to add "for me" or "IMO": it's a terrible experience, FOR YOU; it has been going downhill, IN YOUR OPINION.
You've been heard!

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2022As a Windows Enterprise user, I ain't crying but good ... moreActually, you're the one throwing assumption, as the comment you replied to never asserted nor implied that it's good for everyone just because he's not having any issues with it. Go ahead and tell how you deduced that he's speaking for all from his comment. I doubt anyone cares what kinda user you are—you could be a "supernatural" user, and that wouldn't make any difference.

Windows 11 is alright and tries to move away from legacy stuff, but it's riddled with absolutely idiotic design decisions and removal of cool and useful stuff that we had in the past already.

I never liked W10, too much legacy baggage. That's why I ran with KDE distros for years, but while still flawed, W11 is much more polished. Specially if you got a 2 in 1. I still had to registry edit the taskbar on top and the full right click menu. Also got to get a 3rd party program for automatic light/night theme but other than that, smooth sailing for my workload and a lil game here and there.

My experience with 11 is good so far. Nice and smooth. Felt like good time to swap from 7.

I upgraded as soon as it was available. Compared to windows 10, it is a very quick update. In addition, compared to the bugs I had with 10, there has been no issues for me. I love the focus it has put towards multi-tasking and it has been very helpful. I recommend it.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2022Preferring how something looks way more over how it works i... moreI didn't use windows 11 so I don't know how much reliable is. I only see it from pictures online, so I have an opinion only on how it looks. That is why I asked of it is good to upgrade. And I will upgrade it no matter what others said. If it is so tragic as others think, then i will reinstall back windows 10.
