Bad marketing is correct. Also HTC decision to impose what it thinks customers want on users eg: no interchangeable battery or no sd card. Might have worked for Apple but obviously didn't for HTC. Also HTC continue to put weak, underpowered batteries and speakers on their phones. and the idiots expect people to buy their phones ! Can't see any improvement in sales with such flawed devices.

AT, 04 Jan 2013Its funny how some people comment here that the HTC CEO is ... moreI was a Htc Fanbo (Nexus1 & htc mytouch4G)now a i own a S3 north american version. The main reason why i did not go for HTC one x over S3
1. No Sd card slot (the main reason for me) my 32gbcard and 16gb internal memory are almoste full. Why? Full hd video, emulator(n64 & ps1 with a lot of game), 12gbo f music and picture. 1080p video take a lot a space.
2.No removable (batterie depend of opinion don't mind not having no removable batterie because I know how to max my batterie life 24h and up).
3. S Bean( Samsung exclusive) not android bean!!!
4. Hdmi Out
5. Usb On the go( 2nd main reason)
6. Prefer amoled over ips lcd
7. Real multitasking like S3 and Note 2 on 4.1.2 multiwindow.
8. Update(I had my S3 since day one and had 2 update since then 4.0 to 4.0.4 to 4.1.1 now waiting for 4.1.2 or 4.2)
9.My carrier don't have it (t-mobile) S3 is on every carrier in the world.
Prefere sence over touchwiz. I use Nova launcher anyway.
Htc give me all this and a will come back!!!!

They have to innovate advanced features & quality by this the customer will fall on your product ,you don't have to market that much they will search for your new release.

Are you sure it has nothing to do with HTS poor customer service on updating phones. Maybe the losses are due to the lousy attitude towards existing customers and they just switched brands.

I like the hardware and software design. But I don't like these,
1. Overpriced
2. Poor customer service(Singapore)...Sucks and arrogant.

Simple HTC.. You want to boost your sales? Two things
1. microSD Card slot/ removable expansion cards
2. Removable battery.
Simple as that!!!!

Here I think(please correct me if im wrong)
HTC fanboy: The best phone especially over Sammy products... However they think it can't be because they r not doing well when it comes to marketing and resulted in poor sales
Samsung fanboy: The best phone especially over Apple and it has been proving when considered sales and user reviews(Yet many ppl say they never understand why ppl buy such cheap plastic device rejecting the fact in sale...but funny thing is it's still selling like hot cakes in worldwide)
Apple fanboy: The best phone without logics(agreed if they talk about appearance) because most of them are not coming here to dare with the facts
In conclusion, since it is HTC news, I have seen HTC has been sellings their device, for example DNA, well in their homeground, Taiwan and maybe in US with one carrier...
but in worldwide? they couldn't even launch their phone for example here in Australia.
And the reason why I used "Couldn't" is that when you think "Logically" it's not HTC's decision, it is Carriers decision making orders what they can sell well.
If there would be huge demands for HTC here, I am sure DNA would be available from all carriers by now.
It's really pathetic to see HTC and HTC fanboys claiming that their poor sales was originated by Marketing
Apple didnt spend a peeny for their first smartphone because they didnt have to.
And it was possible because their first iphone was "too good" at that time and all the news was dealing about it.
I am telling you again... it was too good!
If the device is really good you don't need that much much merketing and nowaday ppl are getting smart.
They can tell if the marketing is realistic or just dreaming
Marketing can help sales boost(from 70 to 100.... but I dont think from 10-50,,,,maybe 10-15...Yes HTC is now not even close to 10 in sales)
Marketing can make your phone look better but cant make your phone better..
Please HTC, make really good device first accepting facts and listening users about why ppl use and prefer non-HTC devices nowadays.
If you just listen your fanboys, all I can see you would do is making similar device and focusing on marketing..
Food should be tasty in restaurant,you might can lure some customers by your shiny interior but if the taste isnt that good, there will be no second visit
