Anonymous, 30 Jan 2022Moto X was their main phone, but far from premium. Its price was primiun, it cost almost 500 dollars at that time, I was lucky enough to have 2 on several occasions and it was the best, when almost none had an amoled panel, this one had it, the notifications on the screen, they copied it to Nokia with Symbian but Motorola catapulted that option to this day,

T... moreYou are right, its headquarters is still in the United States and its parent company is Lenovo, but Lenovo is not just any ordinary Chinese company, it is among the best computer brands in the world, and they are very good indeed, their tablets, notebooks and others compete against other brands like Apple, Dell, Asus etc etc, if they have made several wrong decisions regarding Motorola, but. they are still operating with free will and they are doing things better now

Lumia 520 is a great phone in the history of smartphones, in that it defined catering to the needs of the budget segment users without treating them like feature phone users.
There were no Android phones that can provide that kind of features and value for money, and then came Moto G with better specs. For quite some time, no one else can provide the value for money that these provided.
That's how much the traditional phone giants Nokia and Motorola had understood their customers and their needs.

I accidentally threw my phone from 23rd floor to 6th in 2019 and i was on a tour to Dubai 🌚

They might be under them but they still work independently. They still operate as an American company and still have American employees. Their main headquarters are still in Chicago.

Since the defection of LG, Motorola has taken over the 3rd spot in sales in the United States. They'll obviously never catch up to Apple and Samsung but they found a little niche for themselves. I love my Razr 5G!

I brougt this phone at that time and smash it in year 2016 while fighting with my sis but I regret it later. Because I love my phone at that time

The fact that a smartphone with 512MB RAM and a dual-core chipset like the Nokia Lumia 520 can run smoothly without lag is the reason why Windows Phone is still my top favourite OS. When I got myself a Nokia Lumia 830, a phone with the same RAM and chipset as the Moto G, as my first ever Windows Phone device, I never miss Android at all until WhatsApp stopped its official support. Because of that, I was forced to use Android again.

I missed this phone. I accidentally put mine in the washing machine. I wish they kept making phones with similar design.

It only lacked 4G if you bought the version that didn’t have it, I bought the Moto G 4G version personally.
Great phone especially with the removable back that could be replaced with a folio version for integrated display protection - a feature that is sadly missing on modern phones.
Of course it had it all, removable battery, SD card slot and 3.5mm headphone port, now getting all of those is becoming almost impossible.

Phones like this are no longer created, they forgot to say, that after the Moto G the revolutionary era of the mid-range began, before this it was rubbish on Android. The moto G was fun, nice, clean coat, I had several! and gave several to girlfriends lol,,, what a great rock that was, too bad that today's phones are so boring

Amazingly durable phone, have one today still working that i bought in 2014. Everything works, speaker, lcd, comms etc installed a custom rom, lineageOS 16 with microG apps and runs smoothly. Still has the original battery too...incredible Moto device. They just don't do it like this anymore.

Was the Nexus 4 really widely available? I don't remember it being an alternative to the moto g at the time, at least not outside the US.

My mom still uses it. It's one of the best budget phones ever made

Still using Moto (G51 5G) phone. My only Worry is there so tiny support for software updates !!! Just 1 update.
