Anonymous, 31 Jan 2022Yet they last longer than any Android phone with even large... moreThis is not true. The iPhone 13 Pro has worse battery life than that of the S21. Also, you should stop dragging Android phones to every discussion. The point is that that person is wrong. He thought that Apple improved the battery life of the 13 series by using magic or something while in reality Apple just increased the battery capacity, which is great. However, there is nothing to respect technically, if you increase the battery capacity, obviously the battery life will be improved. Even elementary school students understand this.

Every single movable menu item reacts to finger motion instantly. When you send it to motion it animates at such framerate that it feels stupid smooth. I don't know what Apple does, but it's 120Hz feel without the 120Hz is the best way I'd describe it. It's not as sharp during motion, obviously since its still 60Hz display.

Does not feel natural, at least not in my opinion. It feels like you're streching the screen, in a way... A very weird feeling. On Android, this does not happen. Guess this has to do with the overly long iOS animations that play after you do anything and wait for the animations to finish, until it does what you asked it to do - like going from menu to another. It's not immediate, like on Android. However, I prefer to disable all UI animations, Android also has overly long animations set as default. Shame, since that makes UI feel slower than what it actually is.

The battery capacity of the iPhone 13 Pro is higher than that of the iPhone 12 Pro (about 10% higher). The same goes for the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the iPhone 12 Pro Max (about 18% higher). In the future, you should check facts before giving your respect.

You are still living in 2013 if you think most Android phones lag. Sad for you, but ignorance is bliss huh, enjoy your false reality that Apple products are "just better" .

Apple managed to do 120hz and increase the battery life on their phones. Android phones can only do that by throwing a bigger battery at the problem. Maybe they are being held back by the OS, but Apple has my respect for that reason alone.

That also tells me if they decide to make a Fold, it will have better battery life than Samsung's Fold with a smaller capacity. Instead of copying all of the meaningless things Apple has done, Samsung needs to figure out how Apple's refresh rate works and copy it. Their increments are killing the Fold's battery.

If an app can only run at 30 fps, you won't see any difference between 60 Hz and 120 Hz. But if an app runs at a higher frame rate than 60 fps, you'll see that it's smoother in 120 Hz.

The lifespan in battieries is set to 800 cycles until they start degrading.
Whether you have Iphone with 5V/1A charging or 120W Super VOOC the battery will be in same condition before you reach 800 charging cycles.

But this dude is actually claiming that after 800 cycles a smartphone battery will have suffered no degradation….🤣

He’s obviously misunderstood what Xiaomi has been telling him. What they have actually said is that their battery’s will retain 80% capacity after 800 cycles. Not, and I repeat not “It survives 800 cycles of charging at 120W without loosing a bit.” as Captain power or whatever his name is seems to think.

A bold claim by Xiaomi anyhow, time will tell how it holds up………..

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2022120/144/165/240Hz as useless as having 12/6/18/20GB ram. 60 can't look smooth, unless that's the highest frame rate you've experienced in your whole life. 60 FPS lacks the necessary frame data to be smooth (you are basically skipping frames), that's why 60 FPS gaming isn't smooth - those missing frames make it look broken, slow. You notice this immediately after using a faster display. Same applies in OS level as well, any animation/scrolling just won't look actually smooth, until you have a higher refresh rate. 120 is a great upgrade. Very far from being useless.
