If both chipsets are using ARM's latest cores (Cortex X2, 710 and 510), which are supposed to be using the new ARM v9 architecture, then why does it says ARM v8? Could this be Geekbench issue?

Perhaps my interest in gaming is cero because NVIDIA is graphics. My smartphone is a tool of productivity and the fittest to my needs and most people like me is having several applications and the versatility that the pen gives to the S22 Ultra.

DroidBoye, 05 Feb 2022Exynos having higher single and lower multicore than SD see... morehave you noticed opposite is actually the case and exy. multi is higher while single is lower

I dont know why people can only complain? I am using the exynos S10 plus.. I has been 3 years approximately.. I have never noticed a performance issue as long as you don't game. Battery lasted 2.5 years.. then accu-battery showed 77% just changed few months ago for 25$ .. and now once again back to 6.5 hours screen on time.. Most day to day apps load in seconds.. still comparable camera to recently launched A52s 5G.. Can play any casual games without any lag.. Only one game ever struggled on my s10+ is the genshin impact.. but still in med settings it runs fine.. and this is a 3 year old phone.. The exynos 2100 itself is a major leap forward for samsung.. so expect s21 series to last for atleast 4 years easy.. and you guys are fighting over 8 gen 1 and exynos 2200.. LOL.. remember this.." the food on the table next to yours always looks tastier"

            Ok

Exynos having higher single and lower multicore than SD seems that it's doing higher frequencies than SD but struggles to keep-up with temps when all cores were active. It's either hitting thermal or power limit.

I already feel sorry for the US consumers as they have to use Snapoven.

Scram, 05 Feb 2022My points stand. You aren't in the market for a Samsun... moreDo you own Samsung stock or what? Haha.
Being overly sensitivite only weakens your arguments.

Let me add some more observations that you'll likely find disturbing. 😁

I think that it's unwise to buy a flagship chipset without comparing the numbers like watt per calculation, and peak performance. Unless that person isn't interested in performance. One article isn't enough to make a decision. When several independent articles indicate the same, then you can make an informed decision.

Lastly, the "leaked" Exynos score was a downclocked engineering sample compared to a Snapdragon production sample. Of course, performance on an Exynos production sample will be better... much better.

Love the Community, 05 Feb 2022Guys, Qualcomm's GPU division has yet to implement Rea... moreI'm pretty sure Qualcomm has something nearly ready...not linked to GPU but to AI
Mediatek allready has a SDK for raytracing (Vulkan complient) based on AI.

A big part of Ray-tracing rendering are :
                          - denoising
                          - supersampling
All this can be done by AI and ISP.

Both Qualcomm and Mediatek announced they boosted AI by x4 on their last gen chips!
                          Samsung only announced x2.

                          You've got 2 different choices :
                          - Samsung and AMD choose a full GPU rendering (AMD came from PC, AI and ISP are built-in on GPU when Smartphones have separate hardware)
                          - mediatek (and probably Qualcomm) choose GPU and AI rendering.

                          ------------
NVIDIA is a step higher with RT-cores, AMD hasn't.

Tondern, 04 Feb 2022There's pretty much no CPU performance improvement ove... moreWhat do you expect instead :
                            - x86? Less efficient
                            - Mips? Nearly dead
                            - Risc-v? Not ready yet...but maybe the best alternative
                            - Custom Arm?

This year, evolution is instruction set with Arm v9.
Geekbench results still shows Arm v8 results on Arm v9 devices.
I think we have to wait for a newer version of Geekbench to see the difference.

Custom cores weren't that good in past :
                            - Samsung Moongoose were a custom obsolete big.LITTLE system when others use DynamIQ système.
                            - Qualcomm's Scorpions weren't as powerfull as Cortex A9, Kraith weren't as powerfull as A15 and A17 (but more efficients as there's no big.LITTLE with Kraith), first gen Kryo (SD820) wasn't as powerfull as Cortex A72

All other Kryo are rebranded copies of standard Cortex.

In fact, except Apple's Cores, all others attemps weren't that great.

Scram, 04 Feb 2022What will you use the information for? I am 100% certain yo... moreJust a suspicion. The leaked cpu numbers of the two chips showed Samsung behind Qualcomm and not by a little bit. To achieve the matched numbers in the article, something must have changed.

I don't play games. I want a flagship that lasts long on a charge. That appears to right now be the Dimensity 9000. Why do some get pissed off to hear that? They can buy whatever they want. Different people have different priorities.

Guys, Qualcomm's GPU division has yet to implement Real Time Raytracing since 2018. Nvidia and AMD already have real time raytracing by now so blame on Qualcomm for not innovating fast enough.

Anonymous Gee, 04 Feb 2022Hello! stop bragging and be calm,it's as if some of us... moreWhat was the point of this whole essay?
I was just correcting what he said.

This whole chip situation is very interesting. If samsung comes out with a new device, your home location shouldn't prevent you from getting a certain version of the device. All devices should be the same. Just because I live in the UK, shouldn't mean I get the slower device but still have to pay the same price as the person in the US with the superior Snapdragon.

In simple words this isn't fair. It's as unfair as not getting a charger in the box for a device that costs over 1000 £ or $.
