If an Exynos Samsung phone with the capabilities of a Snapdragon 865 managed to have the same efficiency as those on iPhone 13, this phone would be widely regarded as a miracle of tecnology. Of course, no one is waiting for that to really happen.

always this bs comparations with syntenthic numbers and stuff when the real comparasion should be in battery drain test because that's what most of us will notice in real life usage.

      People are so innocent.

Samsung always disable something on exynos or snapdragon variant when the other does not have same feature.
And people here think samsung is gonna sell exynos variant with ray tracing while snapdragon lacks it. LOL !!!

USA is most important market for S series.

The Snapdragon performs far more consistently.

          Hopefully it's different this time.

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2022I thought the same thing, these are backwardsEven if they are, the performance difference is entirely irrelevant. You won't sense those 5% anywhere even if Exynos is in fact that much slower. Especially if that also affects battery which was better on Exynos 2100 already.

Once and for all an end to all the exynos-is-so-bad fuss. The 2100 already did well and look at the excellent performance and battery life of the S21U exynos version.

Only Apple has truly custom chipset at this point. All other mobile chip makers just use the Cortex designed bad default cores which are really bad

I just wish Samsung introduce 2 modes for GPU.
Balance mode at 600-800MHz and performance mode at ~1200MHz.
Also keeping last years temperature control system which was amazing.

                                That's incredible

Both got heavy thermal throttling, because SM-S908B could get 3487 multi core score while X2 and A710 clock restricted to 2.4GHz.

I believe the article has the chipset-to-model mapping wrong.

Typically for Samsung devices, "U" is used for US models and "B" for EMEA.
The US model gets the Snapdragon while the Int'l one gets the Exynos, inverse of what the article states in its first paragraph.
