Shutting down those social networks would be the best thing that can currently happen in Europe.
Facebook is currently THE MAIN CULPRIT FOR PROPAGATION OF FAKE NEWS, propaganda and conspiracy theories.
Society desperately needs to heal from this atrocity. Adios, Meta!

Facebook & Instagram will shift their servers to EU. They will bribe and buy time for the same. This is a stunt to cash money in markets. Not is Mark Zuckerberg a fool, neither are people.

Life is amazing without meta, can confirm and agree with those guys (which is extremely rare case).
If US can ban Huawei and prevent them using US equipment than none of our data should be kept on anything in US.
So proud of EU for doing this.
There are so many different social networks beside meta's face ig and wa ....
Same as Tiktok exploded some other network would explode in Europe.
And im sure that it will be better than Facebook which turned into paid advertisement feed instead of your friends posts .

There's some confusion, EU isn't banning Meta they are just asking they comply with their rules, Meta is the one threatening EU that they will shut down FB and IG and it will hurt many local small businesses
FB and IG not working in EU is good or bad is up to people and they're opinion (mine is that it's good though I don't live in EU) but you have to agree that many people rely on FB and IG to market their products and do business and they will definitely feel its impact
